Inttimo oil by Wet Lubricants - review by Boxers Over Briefs

This was my first bottle of massage oil and my first experience using oil to give a massage. The difference between a dry and oiled massage is substantial and immediately noticeable. While there are massage styles out there that don't use or need oil, (like Thai massage) the styles you're most likely to give or receive are greatly benefited by oil. After trying this, I must highly suggest that even if you don't ultimately choose this bottle as your oil, if you're going to be giving massages, GET MASSAGE OIL! Still, you should try to get a good one, and this isn't a bad place to start.

That said, I can't say that I would still make such a strong recommendation if I'd used a lower quality massage oil. I think this oil is fantastic, but I'll start with my complaints first: the bottle has a screw off top which is difficult to open if you have oil on your hands. A flip or disk top cap would have been much better. The bottle is also quite large and is really more than you're going to need for quite a while. I'm not sure I'll be using all of this before it starts to go bad after its expiration date a year from now. This is all my partner and I could think of to complain about, the rest was a lovely experience.

When I first opened the bottle, I was very disappointed by the weak smell of the oil; I was expecting a more shampoo-like power to the scent. Yet as we used it, we found that the power was just about perfect. The scent gets into the air seems to come from nowhere in particular; it just hangs around, surrounding you in its lovely presence as you use it. Even after the massage is over, for quite a while afterward, the scent surrounds you and lingers on your skin as a reminder of the massage you just received.

Despite the lingering fragrance on the skin, there is no substantial residual oiliness after the massage. During the massage the oil is thin enough to spread on well and thick enough to remain slick for a good while before you will need to reapply. At no point does it get sticky, but instead is slowly absorbed by the skin, leaving only a pleasant aroma and moisturized skin behind. There are cheaper places to start with massage oil (though to be fair the bottle is huge), but I really love this brand because it seems to hit the sweet spot in fragrance and consistency. I highly recommend this massage oil: it will last you a long time and help provide a fantastic massage experience.
