Budget friendly Luxury

Overall, I felt relaxed and moisturized after my bath. My favorite aspects of this product are the scent, and the blue tint of the water. The skin softeners were an added bonus that I wasn't aware of until using this product. Hopefully, this product won't be discontinued in the future as I will be purchasing this product again when I run out.

Use

Luxurious products are often budget busters, leaving the consumer discouraged. When I found the Kama Sutra, Treasures of the sea bath salts, I was excited! The reviews were fantastic, pictures inviting, and the price was low enough for me to consider. Later, I discovered that this product was offering a EdenFantasys towel with the purchase of the Treasures of the sea bath salts. This made the deal even sweeter. I ended up purchasing 3 of these deals. Who can't use an extra bath towel, or 3 in the linen closet?

I wanted a product discreet enough to leave out on the counter. One that my children, nor guests, would know had come from an adult site. As a mother, I know that soaking in the bath rarely involves privacy. Even a late night bath ritual can turn into someone banging at the door. It never fails, no one needs to use the restroom until I am in the tub or shower. I always tell my husband that if we ever buy a house, it has to have two bathrooms!

I really don't feel there is any specific occasion to use this product. Personally, I'm willing to use any excuse to relax.

I had no skin irritations, nor allergic reactions to this product. However, the Treasures of the sea bath salts, is scented and may or may not be suitable for those with severe allergies to strong fragrances.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

These bath salts are mixed with a very fine blue, and chunky white texture, which dissolves quickly in the water. I'm not even sure that I would even call these "salts" with the size of the product. However, when you rub the Treasure's of the sea bath salts between your fingers, you can see the fine salts mixed in.

While getting into the tub, I noticed it was a little slippery so use caution when entering your tub. I didn't have any problems when I was getting out of the tub, nor while I was soaking. I think the salts were still dissolving at the time of my entrance. When dissolved, this product leaves your skin feeling moisturized, nourished, and relaxed.

Taste / Aroma

The TREASURE'S OF THE SEA bath salts, is heavily scented with a crisp, clean scent. Upon opening the generous 2 lb (24.6 oz) jar, a powerful aroma escapes it's containment. This may be overpowering to those highly sensitive to strong scents. Once applied to the bath water, the scent loses its potency and becomes lighter.

While this product may leave one to believe that the salts possess an oceanic scent, I assure you that this product does not. When I think of the smells around the "ocean", fish is the first scent that comes to mind. If I had to share what products resemble this particular scent, I'd have to say that you will find similarities in products claiming to be ocean scented.

This product can be used by both genders. It is not for human consumption, nor should it be used near the mouth.

Performance

When I opened the container, the scent was strong, and filled the room with a clean aroma. As I added a shell sized scoop (included) of bath salts to the running bath water, the scent became lighter. The bath salts created a beautiful blue colored tint to the bath water and produced frothy bubbles. I soaked for a little over 30 minutes and still experienced the light scent, a few bubbles, and the blue water never faded.

While soaking, the water moisturized my skin and I felt relaxed.

After draining the water, I noticed a light blue tint in various areas of the tub. It easily washed off with a wet cloth.

Packaging

The Treasures of the sea, Luxurious bathing kit, comes in a generous 2lb (24.6oz) plastic container, with an easy entry through the lid. Inside of the container, you will find a white seashell which is sealed inside of a plastic bag. I highly suggest opening the container over the bathtub or on a piece of paper. I accidentally spilled some of the bath salts on the counter while removing the seashell from the container. Unfortunately, the counter was wet and I experienced a blue mess. The bath salts did clean up well.

This product doesn't come with user instructions. I am assuming that this product is to be used per preforance. During my first Treasure's of the sea, bathing experience, I used 1 scoop of the salts. You could use more or less depending on the size of your tub.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Would make a nice gift

Special Features

Turns the water "sea" blue while producing long lasting bubbles.

Experience

I was a bit concerned when I opened the jar and spilled some of the salts on the wet counter. My concern was that it was going to stain my counter, tub, or skin. I didn't have this issue and was pleasantly surprised with how well the product cleaned up. When entering the tub, I immediately felt the skin softeners go to work on my skin.
Follow-up commentary
I've had my 3 tubs of Treasure of the Sea bath salts, for a few months now. Amazingly, I'm still working on using my FIRST tub of salts. I haven't made it 1/2 way through the tub. You can use a little, or a lot when pouring the salts into the tub. I like to use 2 shells full for more moisturization, and scent.

This product lasts quite awhile and well worth the price. Still enjoyable, no reactions, pleasurable scent, and easy to clean up when spilled.

Suggestion: If you'd like to soak and moisturize just your feet, pour 1/2 shell full of Treasure of the Sea bath salts, in a small plastic tub. Add warm water and relax.
