Use

Body butters are uber moisturizers, thick, rich and creamy with pronounced aromas to compliment the soft moisturization of your skin. Venus fits the description! I have the Pomegranate aroma, and while I feel it smells more like the blossoms with a bit of citrus, it is a luscious and sensual aroma.

The Venus Pomegranate Body Butter is a great after-shower moisturizer, or lay down, let him smooth it into your skin and just add a bit to the dry skin areas to soften and smooth your skin whenever you feel like it. However you decide to use your body butter, just know that the Venus will leave you with ultra soft, sexy, smooth and touchable skin.

I have been using a different product, however when I got this from my secret santa, I could not wait to try it out after my bath! It was worth waiting for, my skin is even softer than it was with my previous high quality bath and lotion set.

This product does contain parabens, so if you are allergic or do not want to use a product containing them, please note this. Parabens are a chemical preservative that is used by many cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical companies to preserve the freshness and shelf life of certain products. They have been known to slightly mimic estrogen and have been found in minute increments in breast cancer tumors. There is no known connection between parabens and cancer.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture of the body butter is very thick, rich and creamy. A small amount goes a very long way. It leaves my skin feeling very velvety, moisturized and silky. This product works a lot better than regular lotions, especially on problem areas such as elbows, knees and feet, due to the concentration of essential oils and moisturizers.

I grab a small amount with my fingertips and the slick, smooth texture glides right over my skin until it is absorbed. It has a tendency to be absorbed very rapidly by my skin and lasts almost all day. The thickness stays in place and the rapid absorbtion does not leave any oily or greasy feeling afterward like most thin, watery lotions.

Taste / Aroma

I refuse to taste this one, I have put my poor taste buds through enough lately. Sorry, guys - going to pass this time.

The aroma that floats out of the container upon opening it is very strong and fresh. It is shy of overpowering, but is not what I expected for Pomegranate. It is a floral and citrusy odor, maybe Pomegranate blossoms and oranges? I am reminded of a floral marmalade, but fresh and clean at the same time. I realize this is hard to understand, but I was drinking a Pom prior to my bath, and the aroma was nothing like my pomegranate drink. It does tone down to a lightly fruity version of the floral marmalade after about 30 minutes, but is still not an actual aroma of pomegranate.

Performance

The soft, silky skin has lasted for about 9 hours and I have not reapplied the butter to my skin yet. My elbows are feeling a bit dryer than the rest of my skin, but not by a whole lot. I would recommend a reapplication to very dry spots after about 7 hours or as needed. The rest of my body feels wonderful.

The aroma lasted for about four to five hours, depending on the areas and if it was rubbed off by my clothing or washing. It will come off with soap and water, but the moisturizing effects still remain, just not as long as when you do not wash it off.

I love the velvety skin, fast absorbtion and the size of this container. It will last a very long time since the amount used is smaller than with regular lotion. This product is amazing and I will keep replenishing it and trying all the different scents.

The moisturizing properties of this body butter is amazing! My skin has never been so soft, and I am going to continue using this product, even get a variety of the scents! I can already tell, this tub is going to last quite awhile, a small amount goes a very long ways.

I love the aroma even though it is not true to the pomegranate. The citrus/floral and fruity scent is simply divine, just forget it is supposed to be pomegranate, and you will find yourself enjoying this fresh, light and sensuous scent as well!

Great review. I've been waiting for someone to describe the pomegranate one, sad to hear its kind of floral in scent, as I'm not much for florals. The body butter does sound good though, I'll have to figure out which fruity scent to go for.
