bwarm: Top Quality Ingredients=Great massage candle
The bwarm is a rose scented massage candle that smells great, yet isn’t overpowering. The modern flexible holder allows the warm wax to easily be poured onto the skin. It massages in very nicely and leaves a light scent and your skin feeling amazing.Published: December 26, 2008
Pros:
Great scent, leaves skin feeling wonderful, body safe temperature, and easy to pour.
Cons:
Wax is very soft.
Bwarm arrived in a simple classy box: black, white, light pink with a simple photo. The ingredients are easily found and are all cosmetic grade, which is great to know, especially as you’re going to be rubbing it into your skin. The candle itself is very cute, more of a modern style; I’d leave this lying out without giving it a second thought. The wax is very soft though, so if someone would squeeze the holder or poke their fingers into it, it easily molds.
The actual holder is a soft, flexible container that makes pouring it on the skin very easy. No messy spoons or brushes here. After extinguishing the candle, use the tall, elongated area to pour it on your partner (or yourself). The candle can also be very carefully laid down so you can dip your finger tips in the wax to massage small areas. The temperature is warm enough to feel good, but not so warm that it’s uncomfortable. My partner actually avoids massage candles because most are too warm for him, but he enjoys this one.
After using it, the wax does harden, but is still soft. The area where you poured it will have a trail of wax, but that is easily flicked back into the base of the candle. Light it for another minute and the wax melts back into its flat shape so it looks like a regular, modern styled candle again. The rose patchouli scent is very pleasant, it’s a light floral that isn’t overpowering when burned and even more subtle on the skin.
While this candle may burn, untouched, for 10 hours, using it as massage oil significantly cuts its life down. Burning it for 20 minutes provides a nice size pool. After using it a few times, I’m estimating it will last for 10-20 massages, depending how much you use. I love to use a lot of the oil; especially because of the way my skin feels after wards. And while I do not ingesting it, I did lick my hand about 30 minutes after it had absorbed into my skin, it tastes like a light oil based lotion.
As with all candles, be sure to keep the wick trimmed to less than ¼”.This helps to keep the oil clean and to prevent soot when burning. Also please use common sense when using any flame (avoid drafts, place on stable surface, make sure nothing can come into contact with the flame, etc.).
The bwarm is a great massage candle that leaves your skin feeling fantastic. Both my partner and I enjoy the warm wax and the way it makes our skin feel. It doesn’t hurt and it makes the room smell wonderful!

No more fun and games...

My significant other and I have been together over 5 years. He's been away for a week and a half and coming home tonight. I would love to do something special as one of the things I want to do this year is have a better relationship.
We don't really have time alone and this has made our romantic time pretty non existent. Of course the relationship is affected because even though we are happy, we get along, we like each other, we are missing that spark. We are missing that extra happiness and closeness that comes from having a fulfilling sex life.
I am looking for ideas, nothing to out of the box or kinky, just something romantic and fun. -

I make him a nice and we curl up on the couch and watch a movie. He always appreciates the the gesture :)

Comparison between Bwarm candle and Jimmyjane Afterglow
-
I was curious which one people prefer. I'm leaning toward the Bwarm candle because of the design shape, but the Afterglow looks tempting because of the brush.

Just the smell of the bourbon sends chills down my spine. We love this candle so much I really should write a review. Since I haven't yet I'll tell you the brush is cute but I don't find it very useful except to tickle. The oil from the candle is not really slick but soft and silky. Sounds strange but for me that's better. I don't like to slip off the skin when giving a massage. I light the candle for about 45min and just pour on once it cools for a few mins. You really don't need too much to cover the entire body and it leaves the skin soft not oily. The candle is simple and pretty as would be expected from Jimmyjane.

I've only tried the Bwarm, but both my boyfriend and I love it. We got the fig scent, and it's the loveliest scent of candle or massage oil I have ever experienced. The shape of the candle holder is great for pouring the oil with no spills, but some leftover wax will dry on the pouring "spout". This does melt off the next time you use the candle, but it can look "messy". It's very nice and light, not oily at all. I haven't tried the Jimmyjane Afterglow, but the Bwarm has been awesome and I don't think you would regret purchasing it.

Thank you for viewing Bwarm – aromatherapy candle review page!

Great review! I love massages and have only tried one massage candle, which turned into a thick oil and left me feeling slimy afterwards. This sounds so much better, and I love that there's no need to use a spoon. This one is going on my wish list.
I didn't realize how useful that shape of holder could be. Very nice to not have to use a spoon!
Thanks for the review - I have some massage candles that I love, but I find them difficult to use since there's no pouring method. This looks like a nice solution!
I LURVE the pouring method on this candle....very useful! Great review, as always!
Nice review!
I will also add that I agree with the others on the ingenuity of the pouring mechanism! Just AWESOME! Must be such fun to use. It's also nice to know the floral scent isn't over empowering bcs usually floral scents are strong and I would usually steer away from them....but I might consider this one though
Thanks everyone for your comments! The candle & pouring mechanism are awesome!

Good review. I am so jealous you got to review this!
Yeah, this went on my wish list immediately! I soooo love massage candles, but they're often so messy. This looks like a marvelous idea! Excellent review, as always!
I've never tried a massage candle before and have been a little reluctant to because I was afraid of the mess, but this looks like the perfect solution! I love that the candle holder itself is designed to help you pour the heated wax. Can this candle holder be refilled after the original candle is used up? Obviously, there is a difference between your run-of-the-mill tea light and a quality massage candle, but could you see this wonderful candle holder being reused?
Dame Demi- Thanks for the comment- You'll love it!
Miss Cinnamon- The holder is brilliant. I don't about pouring regular wax in, as massage wax has a lower melting point and regular wax may just be too hot for the flexible holder.
I haven't finished the candle off yet, but as soon as I do, I will let you know if a tealight fits. I believe it will, but am not 100% sure.
I want this one now! You said this one wasn't as warm as other ones you've tried - I want something on the warmer side because I'm way too chicken to pour actual candle wax on me. Any recommendations?
Oh and I love the pouring method for this one!
Sienna- I like the Jimmyjane Afterglow. I also have one by shunga, but it's just a step warmer than this.
Great review. I want to try one of these!
Want one
Thanks for the review!
thank you for the good review!
