Call of the Octo-Pleaser
The Octo kicks ass! I don’t think it should replace a regular back rub, but it could be a great addition to one. When your hands get tired switch it up and grab the Octo-pleaser. About a week ago, I was reading through a review on the Octo-pleaser massager. It was the first time I saw this toy. The Octo was ultra super-cutesy, and I am a total sucker for that kind of thing, as well as anything in pastel Easter colors or having to do with kittens. The review I read did talk about using it as a massager, but it was written mainly from the disappointed viewpoint of it not being a very good sex toy. Since I have no clit to rub the Octo against, and no openings in my body large enough to try inserting it into, I thought I might try something really crazy and get one anyway just to use as a massager.
Upon opening the plastic bubble wrap cocoon that this miniature but deadly creature of the deep massager was shipped inside, I immediately noticed that there was no “sex toy smell of death" smell whatsoever coming from this little octo-menace. So I took off my gas mask and then I spent a few minutes playing around with it, and talking about how cute it was with my special lady, and then came the moment of truth… she started rubbing my back with it.
It felt good. I never had a back rub with any kind of hard massager before so I couldn’t tell you if it was better or worse than any other device, but it felt good, damn good. After a minute or so my lady stopped rubbing my back, got up and walked across the room. She grabbed some message oil, and started rubbing it onto my back. Once it was spread out, she went back to using the Octo-pleaser and this felt Great!
With a little bit of massage oil the Octo ice skated across the skin on my back. My lady varied the patterns of movement and the amount of pressure as she moved it around all over my back which felt so good. The Octo pleaser feels completely different than having someone’s hands and fingers rubbing your back. It is stiff and there is no give to it, but it also has a little bit of that “bed of nails” effect to it by having 8 points of equal pressure applied to the small area it is in contact with.

After a couple of months, the almighty Octo-pleaser is still going strong! It has even survived an adventure or two out of the house. In all seriousness the Octo is a solid piece of hard plastic, so unless you run over it with a car, hit it with a baseball bat, or put it in the microwave, it is never going to wear out. It still feels great when using it for a massager, and it has become the centerpiece amongst the various toys sitting on top of my one computer monitor, in between Frankenstein’s Monster and this really kick ass Zombie action figure (that has removable head and limbs).

Great that you tried it both with oil and without. How hard was it to clean?
Definitely a cute toy, though I would agree it's too bad it doesn't come in other colors!

To help stay safe and clean, I put a condom over the Octo-pleaser during the back rub. Ok seriously, for cleaning I just wiped off the bottoms of each tentacle with a paper towel. It would also have been a cinch to wash it off with some hot water and soap, but after the back rub I was too lazy to move. Later on when I picked it up, it didn't feel the slightest bit sticky, so I just set it on top of my computer.
LOL. OK. I'm hooked on a Yeti. (How come you didn't even comment on my forum post on you?) For shame. Find that lovely lady and tell her to spank you.

my boyfriend and I have been looking into grabbing this little sucker to use as a prop for our halloween costume this year (tentacle monster and school girl). we are also fans of giving each other and friends backrubs, so I'm ecstatic that you say it is a good massager.
but seriously... I am actually kind of confused why the other review talked about using it as a clit stimulator... to me, this is very clearly a MASSAGER massager for backrubs and neckrubs and foot rubs... mmmm. have you tried using this for foot rubs?

No, I have not tried to use this on feet... but that is an amazing idea! An even better idea would be having it used on my feet, ha. Yeah, the Cthulhu reference was just too perfect to not steal for the title.
