useful review
Kama Sutra makes chocolate paint fun, classy, and easy to bring along anywhere. The glass jar that the paint comes in is very nice to look at. It is small enough to put in a bag for a weekend get away. There is just enough paint in the jar for about one or two uses, which I found to be enough.

The brush is sturdy with stiff bristles. I soaked it in water first to make sure that it wouldn’t be too scratchy. I also paint a lot in my spare time, so I had a variety of other brushes at home, just in case i wanted to do more detailed chocolate paintings. I found it fun to experiment with the brush and hold it in different ways. It was fun to gently drag the brush up and down, going as slowly as possible. The brushes bristles tickled much more when the chocolate paint was on them.

The taste of the chocolate was much better than I expected. Honestly, the moment I opened it and smelled it, I wanted to start licking it. It is not too sickeningly sweet, it is just right. It was not the type of body paint where you can’t wait to stop licking it. You will be doing a lot of licking with this paint. It does not taste like you took a chocolate bar and melted it down, which I think would be almost too sweet. Instead, it is a tad more subtle and enjoyable. I think it kind of tastes like chocolate cake mix or pudding.

Be sure to refrigerate the remaining paint, as it says to do so on the jar. Also, make sure to put something down where you try out the product, it can get a bit messy. I did notice that the paint does tend to get a bit sticky, which is a bit of an annoyance. Overall it is a really fun product and I was glad to pick it up to add to my collection.
Experience
I picked this up for my boyfriend for his birthday. I thought it was cute, since I paint and always tease him that I am going to paint on him. I found it a nice compliment to feeding each other strawberries, using the chocolate paint, and then licking the paint off each of other. I had a lot of fun with this product. I did use some of my own brushes too, and experimented with different sizes and bristles. It was fun to paint little messages on each other, and draw “maps” on each other, pointing out our special zones. It was also fun to close our eyes, and try and guess what the other person was writing. Very fun and affordable. I recommend it as an awesome way to add some sweetness to your weekend.

Is the paint like a thinner version of chocolate frosting?

  • Sampler packs?
    • I think it would be really great to see the edible body paints end up in a sampler set :) Like one chocolate, one vanilla, one carmel, etc etc. That would be great! Anyone else agree?

  • Pasty Body Paints?
    • Does anyone else get that pasty taste in their mouth after using/licking up the body paints?
