Cleaning Made Simple

While a good product, the lack of instructions and percentage of what ingredients are used have me concerned with its overall safety.

The Anti-Bacterial Toy Cleaner offered by California Exotic is a good cleaner to have in your toy chest. The bottle is compact, which allows for easy storage and does not take up much space. The cleaner is water based, so it is safe to use on any type of toy. The cleaner is easy to use, and leaves no residue. It will leave your toy clean and bacteria-free. This is the most important thing for me because I want to know that my toy is clean and safe for use, with the least amount of worry.

However, while this product is easy to use, I think it would be nice to include some instructions. When I received it, it was just hanging out in the envelope it was sent in (I purchased it from another website). The lack of instructions left me to just assuming it would take a simple spray and wipe down routine to keep my toy clean and safe. Also, I find that if too much is sprayed (I just may be overzealous about how much I use because I want my toys extra clean!), it can cause a slight irritation if breathed in. Something that I just realized is that one of the ingredients is tetrasodium EDTA, which is a pollutant and may exhibit toxicity. Since this is a concern to me, I would also like to see future bottles include the percentage of each ingredient used in the product in order to determine if it is the best product to use or not.

Otherwise, this product is pleasant to use. I am, however after a little bit of research as I started to write this review, stuck on the fence about recommending this to other users. While the product is efficient and works well, the lack of instructions and not knowing what amount of the ingredients that are used in it account for make me want more answers before I can safely recommend this product to others.

I think you made some good points here. I often wonder what gives toy cleaners antibacterial properties. Alcohol maybe? Thanks for your honesty!
