Completely Kissable
I was very impressed with the quality of this product! You won't be let down, it is well worth the price and probably more!Published: September 22, 2011
Pros:
beautiful, silky, delicious
Cons:
doesn't last long
When I decided to get this Kissing Balm, I was already a huge fan of the Sensuous Beauty line of products. This balm was no different than all of their other amazing products. The container that the balm comes in is made of glass which makes it beautiful and durable. The wrapper is gorgeous, it looks great sitting out on my counter and I've gotten many compliments on it! The size of the balm is perfect for keeping in your purse or even in your desk at work and the only place I do not suggest keeping the balm is in your car. I left mine in the car for only an hour and it was already getting very, very soft.
The Kissing Balm is a great consistency, it glides on very smooth without feeling overly greasy or sticky! The taste and the smell of the balm is delicious! I reviewed the Honey Rose but neither one of the flavours overpowered the other and they complemented each other perfectly!
I did make sure to find out whether or not the balm would stain my clothes or sheets, so I rubbed a little bit on an old t-shirt and threw it in the wash. It did not leave any stain or oil spot behind, which is was really important to me because I have had gloss and balms that rub off on my pillow or during those "kissing" sessions only to find out later it doesn't wash out. But with this balm should be stain free! So get to kissing!
The only thing I wish was different, is that the balm does not stay on my lips as long as I would like. Although the yummy flavour lingers on the lips far after the silky gloss has worn off! So all in all it is not a big deal.
This Kissing Balm is a bit pricey at $17.99 for just a half ounce, but it is so lovely and special that I believe it is worth every penny and definitely worth the splurge! It would make a great gift for anyone special in your life and if you love to be pampered or love to pamper someone special this Kissing Balm will be the perfect choice!

Why is it so expensive? It looks like it'd feel great on my lips, especially with rose, but I don't know..
-
Usually, any explanation of price falls into two categories:
1) The manufacturer put more money into the product (quality ingredients, extensive testing, etc.), and thus the price reflects that.
2) The price is high because people will pay it (brand recognition; think "Apple"), regardless of the real quality.
Take your pick. -
It's got lots of ingredients and many of them are expensive (coconut and almond oils, etc) plus it's a luxury item.
