Contour M by Jimmyjane

If you didn't already know, I absolutely adore getting massages. My addiction began eight years ago during my first pregnancy. Though I'm not pregnant anymore, my husband has still been spoiling me with relaxing rub-downs on at least a weekly basis. He's always looking for new tools and oils to use on me so when he suggested I add this to our most recent order I wasn't surprised.

The Contour M by Jimmyjane is a double-fired porcelain massage stone with four legs and a rounded top. It's solid white aside from the JIMMYJANE logo etched in gray on one corner. The ergonomic shape makes it easier and more comfortable to use, even when covered in massage oil. The rounded side fits perfectly into the palm of your hand so that you can use all four, two or just one of the feet to knead out the knots on your partners body. It can be flipped over to use the rounded portion for the massage, but it's a little awkward to hold onto the feet if you've got smaller hands.

The porcelain maintains a temperature that feels cool to the skin when it's left out. It can be warmed and cooled by placing it in a bowl of water or sticking it into the refrigerator. Jimmyjane recommends that you don't put the Contour M in the microwave. It will get hot enough with the water, I promise.

If you're feeling really adventurous and your partner likes temperature play it would be a lot of fun to have a second Contour M or a Contour I. That way you could put one in a bowl of hot water and the other in a bowl of cold water and switch them out during foreplay.

On it's own, the texture of the porcelain glides smoothly over the skin with very little friction. We prefer to use oils and lotions for ours, but the Contour M can be used without them. It can be used in the bedroom on nude bodies or in more PG settings. Tuck it in your purse or leave it on your desk where you work to rub out the kinks in your neck after a stressful day. It's lightweight and small enough (at 3x3 inches wide and 2.5 inches high) for most anything you could think to use it for.

For cleaning Jimmyjane recommends washing with a mild dish soap, rinsing and towel drying it. It should be pretty simple to keep clean.

We've used the Contour M for a few massages now, both on him and on me. I prefer warmer temperatures so we usually heat it up before use. We don't have any lotions or massage candles from Jimmyjane yet, but we do intend to purchase some soon.

It's worked well to soothe his tension after a stressful day at work (retail management). He's used it to help relax me after a long day dealing with our four kids and also to help get me in the mood for sex. We both love it so far.
