This massager came packaged in a cardboard box. The box has a slip cover over it. Slide the white box from the side of the sleeve to remove.

On the front of the massager, you will see XO OX printed in big bold, white lettering. Below this, in smaller print says "Amazing, The Hot Heart Massager". This heart massager measures 5 inches (from top part of heart to point at the bottom and 5 inches across at its widest spot.

The hot heart massager is made of a PVC material with a matte finish. It almost feels like a very soft, smooth vinyl material but more "rubbery" than vinyl. If that makes sense? It is pretty thick and durable too. Inside this massager, you have a liquid substance. Within the liquid, you will see that there is a small, flat, round metal disc. This disc is how you turn the massager "on". Hold the disc between your thumb and forefinger and pinch it. This will immediately "activate" the liquid and cause it to crystallize inside the massager.

Instantly you will notice a few things:
1. Temperature change. This massager can reach temperatures of up to 129 degrees! The heat is instant.
2. The color. The color will go from a clear, pinkish liquid to a creamy, pearl pink color.
3. The texture. The liquid will transform into a squishy, more solid form.

When the massager begins to "harden" with the liquid inside of it, squish it around and massage it out. This will help to spread the crystals out more and make the massager "workable" and softer. Many folks have compared these massagers to those hand warmers that hunters use during the winter. (Only ours is much more awesome!)

The massager is compatible with water and silicone lubricants. This massager can also be used with massage oils. You really don't NEED the lubricants or massage oils, because this product glides across your skin effortlessly, but if you so choose, it can be used. When massaging with this heart massager, I would suggest to try to get a firm and comfortable grip on it. The ONLY beef that I have with this massager is that there is a seam that runs all along the edges of it. These can cause scratches and be very uncomfortable. Make sure that you do not move too quickly with the massager, so as not to scratch yourself of the recipient of the massage.

This massager will hold its temperature for up to approximately 30-45 minutes. Towards the end of the use, you will notice that it will drop its temperature and it will also become hard. When the massager is fully done, it will be hard as a rock. (You can "deactivate" the massager before this point, if you wish).

This massager can also be used for sexual play! Everyone knows that temperature play can definitely spice things up and get most of our motors going in the bedroom! Take a small amount of massage oil (vagina friendly, of course!) and give your partner a nice, soothing, warm massage. Travel up and down their body, slowly making your way between their legs! Run the massager up and down their thighs, slowly. Once you feel that the tensions are rising, graze the labia or clitoris with the heart massager! If using this on your man, you can do the same with him, but run the massager just under his sack. Very sensitive area! Of course from there, get creative! This would also be a nice foreplay item for tending to the nipples too!

This massager is travel friendly and will fit inside most any purse, diaper bag or overnight bag.

HOW TO STORE/REUSE:

To "deactivate" this massager, boil a pan of water. Wrap the massager completely in a rag or washcloth. Gently, with a pair of tongs, drop the massager and cloth into the pan of boiling water. It will take roughly 7-10 minutes for this process. You will know when the massager is completely finished boiling back down when the crystals have completely liquified again. Returning it to its original state.

Remove the massager (again, with tongs) and place it on a dry towel to air dry (or you can pat dry, but be careful not to bump the disc inside, otherwise you will be boiling it back down again!).

When the massager has fully cooled, it is ready to be used again!

I have several health issues that plague me on a daily basis. I suffer from depression (so badly that it effects me physically), I have fibromyalgia, RLS (restless leg syndrome) and a few other issues. In any case, I am in pain almost 24/7. From head to toe. These massagers are LIFESAVERS! I swear by them and I will never be without them. I currently own 10 of them. Most of them were purchased for a spa party that I will be hosting shortly, but, they will be kept on hand for "Just in case" situations! I type a lot, so when my wrists and fingers and joints in my hands start to tense up, spasm or ache, I will activate one of these and lay it across the tops of my hands. They are large enough to where I can rest them on there and still type away! I use these to lay across the tops of my feet, where I have a lot of pain that shoots up and down them. This is very soothing! And of course, my favorite, I will have my husband give me an oil massage with these massagers. The heat, mixed with the soothing sensations that these massagers leave behind is heavenly!

When I first bought a set of these and a few others, I showed my husband how they worked. The reaction I got from him, if I could have only video taped it! It was priceless! He was amazed and in awe for about 5 minutes. Of course, at this point, he felt the need to activate all of them, play with them for about 5 minutes each, then set it down and let it harden. Ha! Yeah, he's a big kid!

My children also use these! These are great heating pads for aches and pains on the little ones too! There is nothing "sexual" about these (Unless you really want there to be though! God knows these bad boys could definitely open the door to some extra curricular activities if done properly!). However, my kids think that these are just the neatest thing and they are very effective too.

So, I guess you could say that this is one of those "staples" that is in our household. It can be used for just about anything!

I have had these heart warmers for about 10 years now(give or take). There is a few things that I failed to mention in my original review.

1. If the warmer is too much for your skin to take, I would just use a thin piece of cloth, paper towel or hand towel to cover it while using it. Normally, I would just move mine around if it got too warm in one spot.

2. After several uses, you will notice that the heat intensity is not as great. Meaning that when you activate the crystals, and it warms up, you will notice that with lots of use, it will not become as hot as it had when it was first new.

After 10 years of owning these, on and off, I have to say that these are still my "go to" massagers for all sorts of issues. I would say that one massager will last me about 5 or 6 months before its time to replace it with another one. This is also having it be used on a daily/weekly basis mind you. So there is quite a bit of life in one of these massagers. I can't say enough good things about them! I recommend them to all my friends!
