Didn't Really Like It

I really didn't enjoy this at all. Overall, it didn't smell nice, it didn't taste good, no sweet taste on my skin afterward, and it took multiple washings to feel clean. It definitely wasn't worth it for me.

Use

I got so excited when I saw this, my first thought was, wow a flavored shower gel! That is something I need to try. This is my first Shunga product so I was very excited to try it, but I am disappointed in it. This shower gel has a very thin consistency but does lather up very well. The smell kind of reminded me of strawberries with a cough medicine undertone to it. It does have glycerin in it too so ladies be very careful with this.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is a very thin shower gel. Although it does lather up nicely, it didn't leave me feeling very clean. I had to lather up three times before I really felt clean. The bottle is very nice and has an easy to use pop top lid which makes it very easy to pour. When you put this on your skin it does drip right off because it is so thin, so I do recommend using a bath poof or just rubbing it in right away or it will drip right down the drain! It has a very smooth feeling as you are rubbing it into your skin and feels very nice but it does take a bit to make you feel clean.

Taste / Aroma

The smell was not very pleasant to me at all. It smells like strawberries with a cough medicine undertone to it. The smell wasn't very strong but you could smell it. I tried to love it, but just couldn't. It didn't leave any taste or smell on the body at all. The bubbles tasted gross like every other bubble I have tasted in my entire life. I was so disappointed that my skin didn't at least taste sweet afterward.

Performance

It comes in a large bottle (16 ounces) but I can't see it lasting very long because you have to wash up so many times before you feel clean. My husband doesn't complain about anything and he even commented on the smell of this, he hated it. We were both excited to try it and after I smelled it I told him not to even bother. He agreed after he smelled it too. I really didn't like the fact that it didn't make me feel clean.

Follow-up commentary
As I've used this, the smell has seemed to have gotten better. I have also now detected a sweet taste. After it is soaped up, the soapy suds taste sweet. The smell isn't great, just not as bad as it was in the beginning. It seems as I've gotten further down in the bottle it's getting better. Maybe I should have shaken it when I got it. I wouldn't buy this again though because it really didn't make me feel clean. All in all, it's really not a bad product, just not great enough for me to buy again.

Bummer that you didn't like it. I tried the Mint one and I loved the scent of that one, though I agree that it didn't entirely make me feel clean either.

Demineralized water, Sodium laureth sulfate, Cocamide DEA, Fructose, Glycerin, Almond oil, Grape seed oil, Avocado oil, Sesame oil, Safflower oil, Artificial aroma, Sodium benzoate, Citric acid, Vitamin E acetate, Tocopherol acetate, Aspartame.
