Doesn't Last

My partner and I used this while taking a sensual bath together. We were in the tub for about 45 minutes, 30 of which were disappointingly bubble free. I wouldn't buy this product again.

Use

DONA by JO is an aphrodisiac infused line consisting of different 20 bath and body products. The name originates from Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of sexuality and love. It may also interest you to learn that this product line was created for women by other women. It is intended to be a ritual, consisting of five steps: relax, cleanse, nourish, illuminate and engage. This Bath Foam is part of step 2, the cleanse step. I am really unsure as to why it isn't in step 1, since it is basically bubble bath, but I have checked several websites and always find it under step 2.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This has the consistency one would expect from a bubble bath. It's the same color as baby shampoo, but a bit thicker. I was able to pour it slowly by tilting the bottle, or give it a little squeeze to produce a quick cap sized glop. Either way, it came out quite easily. As far as how it feels on the skin, all I can really say is the bubbles felt foamy, then slippery, as bubbles do. I really have nothing texture-wise to report as being out of the ordinary. Nothing sticky, oily, or unpleasant.

Taste / Aroma

Products from this line are infused with one of six proven aphrodisiacs. Please note for fragrance preference that Acai, Camu Camu, and Goji are types of berries, Lotus is a flower, and Mangosteen and Pomegranates are types of fruit. Also, expect the fragrances in the DONA product line to be on the lighter side, as the products are intended to be used together to create a layering effect. I purchased this Bath Foam in acai. While the smell was wonderful, and just like an acai berry, I found the scent to be too light to use on its own without the other products I purchased. There is no taste added to these products.

Performance

In terms of initial performance, this product did very well. The directions do not specify how much to use, so I used about three little capfuls for my standard sized tub. This immediately covered the water in white, fluffy bubbles a few inches thick. However, the bubbles only lasted about 15 minutes, which was a bit of a let down. I was able to form a few more bubbles by draining a bit of water and then running fresh water into the bath, but not to the same effect as the first go-round.

Packaging

DONA Bath Foam comes in a 9.5 fl. oz. plastic bottle with a screw off cap. The cap closes securely and opens easily. When you first receive this product, it should have a safety seal. Make sure not to use a product with this seal broken. The label on this product has a print of burgundy lace over metallic red. The front of the bottle lists the product name, what the product is, that it contains aphrodisiacs, the scent, and some of the eco-friendly bullet points (more on that later). The back of the bottle has brief instructions, the ingredients, and the product's official website. Please note, this product does contain glycerin, which may be irritating to some.

Here are all the details:

Personally, I found the information offered with this product to be very minimal. I had to go to various websites to research the product on my own. Even when I did that, I found the product listed as "Body Foam" half of the time. It would have been nice if the product came with a hang tag or fold out label with information on all the steps, the scents & actions of the various aphrodisiacs, and the eco-friendly qualities.

Experience

As I have already discussed most of the qualities of this product, I think the only thing I have left to talk about is whether or not it lived up to the claim of increasing sensuality by being aphrodisiac infused. Sadly, while the scent was quite pleasing, this did nothing extra for my partner and me. The Acai is meant to have stamina prolonging qualities, but we didn't notice any difference. I'd like to give this product the benefit of the doubt, and say maybe with daily use there would be more results. However, since my partner and I really don't get a chance to take daily sensual baths together before having sex, this wouldn't really increase the product's usefulness for us.
Follow-up commentary
I have resorted to using large amounts of this product to make the bubbles last longer. Unfortunately, no matter how much I use, it really doesn't seem to help much.
