Don't panic, it's organic!

If you can get one of these wonderful vanilla balm sticks, you should. They are great for anyone, and they are totally safe! I just love this lip balm, I think it is my favorite of any lip balm or lip gloss products I've ever tried. The ingredients are great, and everything about it is just lovely!

Use

This lip balm would be great for any person of any age, but because there is beeswax in this balm, it is NOT vegan. This lip balm is "95% organic, 100% natural". It is made with natural flavors and is free of parabens, gluten, phtalates, AND petrolatum! Also, I could not find anything that listed glycerin as an ingredient either.

According to the eos product website, the ingredients are:
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Beeswax (Cire D'abeille)*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Natural Flavor, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf/Stem Extract*, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, [https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/706836/VANILLA_PLANIFOLIA_%28VANILLA%29_FRUIT_EXTRACT/Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract]*. *Organic. Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth."

I've link each ingredient is to it's cosmetic safety information.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture of this is nice. It is not really greasy, but it goes on very smooth and thin, almost like it melts onto your lips. It's not sticky or waxy at all. It has a thin creamy feel on your lips. It does not have any tint to it and goes well over lipsticks and lipliners for an added bit of smoothness, moisture, and shine. This gives a very light shine to lips.

Taste / Aroma

The smell is nice, but VERY faint. This balm could not be considered strong or overpowering by anyone in terms of scent or flavor. I like the smell, but it is very plain (one more reason this would be a good balm to give to anyone). It's not at all like vanilla extract, or cake, or sweets. In fact, this doesn't really have any sweetness to it. The taste is almost not noticeable.

Performance

I don't think there are really any allergy concerns for this product. There are no ingredients in it that bother sensitive skin. This balm is long lasting and performs well. It absorbs nicely and makes your lips feel silky and lovely. It feels natural, of course, as it's made with natural ingredients! I would recommend this balm...in fact, I've already recommended it to a few friends!
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural
    • Long lasting

Packaging

The plastic wrapping that this comes sealed in lists all of the ingredients and directions to "Pucker up. Smooth on. Smile." The plastic tube is very basic and discreet. At the base of the tube, there is an expiration date printed on the plastic. At first, I was worried that this meant the balm would be short lived but the expiration date is 2 years away.

The top of the tube has a nice notch to fit your thumb, which is a subtle feature that I like.

I REALLY like that this comes in a stick, as opposed to the sphere balms. I find a stick much more convenient and travel-friendly. This would be a nice addition to a gift basket.
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Travel friendly
    • Does not leak

Personal comments

Anytime I have seen them in local retail stores or online, they have been less than $4. Though I have not been able to find this one ANYWHERE. I could order it from another online retailer, but honestly, it is easier for me to just use my points and order it from EdenFantasys.
Follow-up commentary
This lip balm is still one of my favorites. Very light taste, all natural, all-around nice. I might be nice if I didn't have to reapply it quite as often, however that might just be because I tend to apply my lip balm compulsively. I would definitely recommend this lip balm, I use it just about everyday and have a back up stick waiting for when I run out of this one.

Great review! These might make good stocking stuffers. I brought up a stocking exchange this year with some family. Maybe I'll wait for a sale and get a few of these.

I've got all of them now, and the raspberry is my least favorite. Love the vanilla, but the mint is fantastic and better packaging/less awkward than the smooth sphere but tastes about the same.
