Dona Body Wash: Camu Camu is a great smelling body wash that gives you silky skin. Like most Dona products, this sets the bar for bath and body products. This body wash lathers well and leaves a light sweet fragrance behind for hours. Whether this is your usual kind of body wash and you're just looking for a new scent, or you just want to try a new body wash, this is for you.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

When you squeeze down on this body wash's plunger, you'll get a dab of medium thickness body wash. Think: slightly more viscous than a raw egg. Begin washing with this body wash and you'll get a slick, soft-feeling lather, which, while not overly foamy, still does a wonderful job of getting you clean. It washes off clean without leaving any icky residues, and you won't have to keep rinsing again and again. All you'll be left with is soft skin and a light sweet scent.

Taste / Aroma

When I first bought this, it was on an impulse that I chose Camu Camu. I had no idea what Camu Camu smelt like, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. After a quick search I found that Camu Camu is a tree along the Amazon River, which bears sweet smelling white flowers and a reddish-blue berry. Dona's body wash smells slightly sweet and floral, and there's a hint of musk and something woodsy to the scent. Combined, this is a wonderfully unique and altogether pleasing fragrance.

Performance

This is no slouch as a cleanser, and it's good for your skin too. This body wash is paraben free, organic, and petroleum derivative free. While some petroleum derivatives are used as antiseptics in cleaners, they also can dry the skin, and no one wants that. That Dona's body wash has found another path that moisturizes the skin and still cleanses is a wonderful bonus for them. This product also contains goji berry, coffee arabica seed, acai fruit, pomegranate, green tea leaves, and mangosteen. These will leave you silky soft and your skin well hydrated.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural
    • Needs to be washed off with soap and water

Packaging

This is an eight and a half ounce bottle, with a purple-and-black-lace-design label. The label is clearly laid out and highly informative. The bottle has a well-sealed plunger top for easy dispensing in the bath or shower. The label on the bottle also says that this is a cruelty free product. The bottle is roughly six inches tall, and has a diameter of around two inches for easy storage.
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Very informative packaging

Personal comments

I not only buy this product for myself, but I also included it in a gift set I put together for my mom for Mother's Day, and she loves it too. To me, this proves two facts about the body wash; first, it's great for all ages, and second, it makes a great gift. So even if you're not sure about getting this body wash for yourself, you can still get it for another person.
