Easy Cleaning Lets You Enjoy the Afterglow a Little More!
Afterglow Wipes make cleaning up your favorite toys easy, so you can enjoy the moments after pleasure a little more. The individually wrapped wipes are discreet and travel friendly. They can also be used on the skin, where they impart a clean, refreshing sensation. While it is much more economical to use toy cleaner or soap and water for regular cleaning, these wipes are great for cleaning multiple toys when you are on the go or just feeling a little lazy.Published: September 25, 2011
Pros:
Plenty of cleaning power in a single wipe, lint free, refreshing, pleasant scent, portable
Cons:
Not very economical for everyday use
Afterglow Wipes offer a convenient, discreet solution for cleaning toys. The pleasantly scented wipes are available in packs of 24 individually wrapped wipes or bundle packs of 20. In addition to cleansing and sanitizing toys, these wipes can be used on skin. On the skin, they impart a clean, refreshing sensation. The product claims to sensitize the skin, but I cannot say I experienced any such result.
Each 7.9" x 5.9" wipe is infused with bergamot. Bergamot is an herb with a citrus-like fragrance. The scent of the wipes is very light and fresh. It doesn't linger too long. However, if you use these wipes to clean toy materials that tend to hold onto smells, the citrus scent might stay around a little longer.
Afterglow Wipes come out of their individual wrappers folded. Unfolded, they are large and moist enough to take on even the trickiest cleaning jobs. With one wipe, I was able to clean several toys without any loss of moisture. Since they are lint free, they are excellent for use on toys that have a tendency to grab onto lint. The wipes will even remove lube and bodily fluids that have dried onto the toys. After wiping down my toys, I use the wipe to clean my hands and external genital area. The wipes are cool and refreshing on the skin.
Afterglow Wipes disinfect as well as clean. They are made with a blend of ingredients that kill bacteria but remain gentle on the body. The ingredients are as follows: Water, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, PEG 14M, Polysorbate 20, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Bergamot, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.
With Afterglow Wipes, you have the option of purchasing a box of 24 individually wrapped wipes or a resealable bundle pack of 20 wipes. I chose the box of individually wrapped wipes, because I felt it was unlikely that the wipes would dry out before I had a chance to use them up. In the past, I had experienced this issue with other brands of wipes in resealable bundle packs.
The box in which the wipes are packed has a design element reminiscent of the Devine Toys boxes. It also has images in silhouette of happy couples. The individual wrappers are orange with text only. At first glance, there is nothing about the box or the individual wrappers that would suggest they are for sex toy cleaning. One would have to read the text on the box or individual wrappers to ascertain their use. The text does not even mention sex toys. It refers to them as "romance accessories". Because of this, I would consider these wipes to be fairly discreet.
Whether you opt for a bundle pack or a box of individual wipes, Afterglow wipes are very travel friendly. Though I personally find the individual wipes most convenient, the bundle pack would not take up a lot of space in a travel bag. It is so much easier to reach for a wipe while on the road than to fumble with a bottle of toy cleaner or soap and water.
If there is one drawback to these wipes, it is that they are not exactly economical, especially for everyday use. The individually wrapped wipes are even more costly per wipe. It seems that individual wrapping adds significantly to the cost of the wipes, because for $10 more you only get four more wipes. However, if you only use these occasionally, they are certainly worth having around. Sometimes in the bliss of afterglow, the last thing I feel like doing is getting up to clean toys. Afterglow Wipes let me enjoy the afterglow!

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I still have quite a few wipes left from my original box. I keep them handy for those times when I don't feel like fiddling with soap or toy cleaner. I would still recommend them for this purpose.

Does any one know how many toys it can clean for one wipe?

Ingredients?

It seems like it should include some type of disinfectant on the wipe. I wonder if it does.

Water, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, PEG 14M, Polysorbate 20, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Bergamot, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate

Are toy wipes worth it?
-
Is there any reason just using baby wipes wouldn't work just as well? Is there something I'm missing?

I dont think that they are. We just use a baby wipe if needed.

Thank you for viewing AfterGlow toy and body wipes review page!

You make these sound really nice! Their ingredients list is quite good. And bergamot---do these smell like Earl Grey tea?
@ Antipova. Unfortunately, I am not a tea drinker, so I can't say whether they smell like Earl Grey or not. They just smell citrus-like to me.
Great review, I have the pack of 20. Maybe next time I'll go for the individually wrapped ones cause I'm going through them really slowly. The scent is nice, but it's not really like Earl Grey tea.
Thanks for the review. These sound nice, though they do seem a little pricey.
Thanks for the great review! These seem like they would be great for on the go. Since they are so pricy, Thats how I'd use them.
Great review! I wish they came altogether in a little box instead of individually wrapped. I have heard of some people getting them in a tub rather than little packets on other websites a while back but I'm guessing they don't make them that way anymore. It would be nice! There is the 20-pack but that's not enough in one for me to spend my money on.
Nonetheless, I'm rambling and your review was great. Very detailed I have used these before but it was back when they sold individual little packets and I bought like 3 to try. I loved them. But I like EF wipes a lot right now!
Good!
