Romantic candle - mist by Kingman - review by nynekats

I got this candle (apple-cinnamon scent) with the hopes that it would make my bedroom smell nice. I did not expect it, due to its size, to make my whole house smell. I also thought the fact that it was comprised of wax beads/sand as a "neat" factor. The fact that it was supposed to have pheromones in it was also something I was intrigued by. I was disappointed with all three.

The smell was only good if you stuck your nose right into the candle before lighting it. I had it on my desk and burned it all the way gone in two days, never smelling the scent once. As for the wax beads/sand, they were a nightmare. The candle arrived with the wick completely over to one side of the candle, resting on the lip of the jar. I had to pour out all of the wax, reposition the wick (which took me FOREVER as there was no glue or anything holding the wick to the jar bottom), and pour all the wax back into the jar. It was a huge mess, even with a funnel, and I lost a lot of wax in the process. And, after all of that work, the wick was still not truly centered. I also did not notice any pheromone activity/influence when using this candle, if you know what I mean.

Overall, I was very disappointed with this candle. The price isn't bad since it's a novelty, but it's really not worth it. I truly feel I could have purchased a better candle with more scent etc. from the Dollar Tree or Wal-Mart, and I hate both of those stores. I hate to say it, but I would not really recommend this candle to anyone. I definitely do not feel that it lives up to the standards I expect from this shop as I have had nothing but good experiences with the products purchased here until this candle experience.
