Fast and Easy ... But is it Safe?

This is a great idea! Simple color palate, easy to apply, looks very elegant. Sadly, the ingredients just aren't that great, in fact they are downright toxic! If you have sensitive skin at all I would advise avoiding this one.

extremely useful review
This eyeshadow set is a very unique and simple way to apply your eye color. The set comes with four colors that compliment each other; I chose the neutral set as I'm more of a natural girl. I honestly only wear make up on very special occasions. The St. Tropez is a very nice set of colors for someone like me that doesn't like loud, overstated makeup, but rather nice neutral tones with plenty of shimmer.

Application is simple, just roll on the color of choice and blend with your finger tips. If, like me, you find the dry application just a bit too soft and hard to see try moistening the roller ball just a bit, this will make the color stick better and thicker. If you'd like to do a nice layered look then apply your base color (usually the most neutral) and use a fine makeup brush or even a small, clean paint brush to highlight and shade as desired with the included complimenting colors. I like to highlight the outer edges of my eyes and along my bottom lashes with the darkest color, and use the lightest, shimmery color to lighten up the inner edge.

The ingredients in these are mostly safe, mineral based such as the mica which gives it its shimmer. It is marked on the product page as being: "No Phthalates / No Sulfates / No Triclosan / Parabens free", but is it really all that safe? There was a couple of ingredients that I didn't recognize, and couldn't pronounce (which always leads to concern) such as "Phenoxyethanol" and "l-Ethylhexylglycerin". After a very brief Google search I found some worrisome things: Phenoxyethanol is a preservative that has been found to cause skin, eye and lung irritation and is classified as toxic and harmful if used near the mouth and lips (gasp, and it's in makeup?!?) and as for l-Ethylhexylglycerin studies found it to be a skin irritant, even at low concentrations, so people with sensitive skin may experience contact dermatitis. In addition, it is an eye irritant in animal studies (poor animals). I personally didn't have any adverse reactions the couple of times I used it, I will, however, probably be tossing these after reading that.

Clean up with this is just simple face soap and warm water, nothing fancy required. Just don't let it run into your mouth! Seeing as it's toxic and all.
