For filthy fun on the go
No access to soap and water? No motivation to get up after a sweaty romp in bed? No problem! These wipes allow for quick and easy cleaning of you and your toys at a moment's notice. They aren't going to handle large jobs or make things sterile, but they'll do fine in a pinch. They're the kind of things that you don't really notice until you need them, but then you're super glad they're there.Published: October 7, 2011
Pros:
Gentle, convenient, hypo-allergenic, has Tea Tree Oil, moisturizing, travel-friendly
Cons:
Contains glycerin, heavy use is not very wallet or eco-friendly
I got these as a free gift with purchase. One more reason I love to shop at Eden.
These are nice simple wet wipes that you can use to clean up before or after getting down and dirty. They can be used on a variety of toys (rubber, plastic, metal, glass, etc) or your body. One sheet is about 7x8 inches and substantial enough that for most things you won't need more than one. Each wipe is well saturated but not wet or dripping. They have a soft texture and ingredients that are gentle on the skin, including Aloe Extract, Vitamin E, and Tea Tree Oil (a great choice for these purposes for it's antiseptic, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties, even though it is last on the list of ingredients) They are hypo-allergenic but do contain glycerin (which can cause UTIs for some), so if you are sensitive to that watch out. There is no fragrance added but they do have a faint, fresh smell.
Even though they are labeled "all purpose" these wipes clearly are not meant to be your primary cleaning method. Above all this is a convenience product, something to throw in your bag as you're packing up your gear, not something you regularly use when you're at home with access to more economical and planet-friendly options. They are great for on the go, refreshing yourself before the fun starts, or removing water based lube or bodily fluids from you or your toys without any hassle. Look elsewhere when trying to remove tougher substances (oil, wax, etc) or for serious sterilization. They are also not for cleaning all types of toys, especially not leather.
Personally I do not mind that there are only 10 per pack, because I've noticed with other wet wipes that when the package gets too big, the seal breaks and a portion of the wipes dries out. 10 per pack keeps the pack small, light, and easy to carry. You could even fit it into a small purse if so desired. This isn't something I'd want to buy in bulk, but rather something I'd want to have nearby for a quick cleanse when I'm away from home.
Of course, it is essential that the wipes stay moist, and the seal on the package is well designed for this purpose. You pull up a tab and lift up the clear sticker to access the wipes. As long as you're not frantically ripping it off, this seal should last you as long as the wipes do. If you want to be extra careful, tuck them into a pocket in your bag instead of leaving them to float around with other items.
The rest of the package is basically an Eden Fantasys ad, which is understandable. The color scheme doesn't particularly suit my tastes, and having the "Sex Shop You Can Trust" motto right across the front won't please those who are worried about being discreet (though discretion and advertising don't really mix anyway), but overall it's tolerable. Based on package and name alone I find the Afterglow wipes to be much more visually appealing.
Right now they are listed at 4.99, so the cost per wipe is roughly 50 cents. There are other products that win hands down on cost per use for regular cleaning. But for convenience, something that I'm going to use every once and awhile and be grateful to have with me on the go, I would say these wipes are worth it. Even more so if you can get them as your free gift.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
Wow! Went through these a lot quicker than I expected, but they are serious life savers if you are away from home. I'm definitely ordering more. Be careful closing the package as it gets empty because there will be more room for air to get trapped inside. Compress it completely before you seal it so that they don't dry out. My last one dried out but you can just add a bit of water and it will still work.

Eden Wipes - FYI: date on back of package is made on date, NOT expiration date
-
I just received my first package of these, and was confused at first, at why they sent me wipes that expired in november. However, I looked for threads about this subject, and there already several that state this is the MANUFACTURE DATE. I just wanted to make it easier for everyone to see this information. Also, someone has stated they expire 3 years from the manufacture date. Please feel to verify this information as well.
-
I believe that is the info going around about these. I know there were alot of confused people at first, but I think we got it all figured out. Thank you for confirming it though.

Toy/Body wipes good for... lady parts?
-
I was just wondering if these wipes would be good for using on your lady parts as part of your after-fun-times clean up routine?
I'm trying to get better at cleaning myself up afterwards instead of just being lazy. Normally, I'll just get up and wipe with a tissue or toilet paper, but I feel like I could be doing more to clean up. -
I use the wipes down there quite frequently. I use them after play, when I'm on my period, and whenever I feel the need to. They're really handy.

Is this ok to use with fleshlight?
-
If I use this on a fleshlight, will it damage it or safe to use?
-
I am curious to this answer as well!
-
I don't have a fleshlight but, I've used this product on many types of toys with no issues. The only thing is that these are a bit expensive for just a few wipes and they are small.

Toy wipes vs. wet wipes
-
Are toy wipes safer/preferable to something like a general wet wipe? Can I use wet wipes on my toys without damaging them?
-
Quote: Are toy wipes safer/preferable to something like a general wet wipe? Can I use wet wipes on my toys without damaging them?I was asking about that in another thread here. See if there's any helpful information there. You might try comparing ingredients on some toy wipes vs. random wet wipes.
I don't have a definitive answer, though. -
Definitely depends on the toy, but I think general wet wipes are probably fine for toys that you clean with just soap and water. I used to buy wet wipes at the drug store that were "sensitive skin formula" or "hands and face" or something like that to try and reduce the amount of unsafe chemicals in them, and I'd always look at the ingredients list. But I've used general wet wipes on my hard plastic toys with no problems.

UNscented option?
-
I've been looking for a wipe like the Eden toy and body wipes--but I can't stand scents. Please produce an unscented version!
-
Unscented baby wipes? I hardly notice the scent on the eden wipes, though.
-
I agree with Elnoa, I hardly notice the scent at all unless I'm purposely trying to smell for it.

Larger pack?
-
I wonder if they will make them in a larger pack soon. The ten pack does not seem like it is enough.
-
I have noticed them in the free gift section.Personally, I would rather have the free shirt!

Do these come in a large volume package so maybe the price will shrink per sheet?

Thank you for viewing Eden toy and body wipes review page!

Nice review! These seem worth snagging on my next EF order to try out...I'll be camping a *lot* the next few months, and these wipes seem like they'll be perfect to take with me.
Thanks for the review.
they rock and great review ty!
Thank you for the review, and noting that it is best used for wiping bodily fluids, not for heavy sterilization or for heavy materials such as wax or leather.
thanks for the review
