System JO for women body shaving gel - sensual bath discontinued by System JO - review by PinkPedal

I just really really wanted to like the System JO for women body shaving gel but I could not get over some of the issues I had with it.

The packaging was good and I love that it can't rust at the bottom and leave ugly rings in my tub. I always have had an issue with bumps in my underarms and bikini line, so I was curious if this was my cure. I noticed after one use my underarms were much smoother and that was great. As far as my bikini line goes I'm unsure. I still notice some bumps. I also suffer from really dry legs and this seems to have helped a lot; they have stayed nice and smooth with no itches. I love the flip top that leaves no mess as well.

I did not like how the shaving cream went on and did not stay on my skin. It was like using body wash with very little water and it becomes all white and streaky, or like too much lotion. If I got my hands wetter to make it more lathery, it just run down my leg, dripping off and leaving me with nothing to shave with. I had to use a considerable amount to get anything on my skin.

(INCI) Hydroxyethylcellulose, Glycerin, Sodium laureth sulfate, Isopropyl alcohol, Aloe vera, tween 20, Carbomer, Fragrance (Aroma), Di Water (Aqua, Methylparaben, Propyl paraben

I don't know much about ingredients or what most of that stuff means, like I'm sure most people don't but I do know what fragrances are. How can the bottle say that it is unscented but have fragrances in them? That's really shady. I'm sure that's false advertising and it would be horrible if someone were allergic or something.

With all that said, I will tell you why I almost didn't even want to use this product. It SMELLS BAD!!! I honestly think it smells like a less potion rid x (the stuff you use to get rid of lice). Maybe I just have a sensitive nose but it was really gross, and to ensure I washed the smell off of me, I bathed twice before stepping out of the tub.

Within 24 hours of using this, it caused me to break out in these itchy bumps! It's the only new product I've used, so it can't be due to any thing else. I was going to shove this off to the side in case I ran out and had something for back up, but now I'm just gonna toss it.
