Fresh Mint For My Lips For The Breath Not So Much!

While the Minty Breath Freshening Lip Balm does not do anything to freshen your breath up. It did serve another purpose to keep the lips nice and moist and with a pleasant smell on top of it. It absorbed fast, but I just reapplied because I loved the smell and taste. I think I may have found my 2 for 2 with the Not Soap Radio Lip Balms.

Use

So on my quest to try the Not Soap Radio lip balms; I am 2 for 2 now. The Minty breath freshening lip balm made my lips feel cool and tingly. While leaving a nice light smell of a mint ice cream. The only qualm I had with this again it did not last long so I had to reapply to my lips. It does not actually freshen your breath; it may only cover up the scent if you have bad breath. This is only meant to be applied externally so don't go eating it.

On the stock photo it shows a pink color lip balm, but that is not what I received I got a blue color lip balm. The balm is shiny and smooth and when it is applied to lips it goes on clear. It also feels shiny and smooth on the lips.

Again with these products I find it better to use my makeup lip brush to apply this on my lips. I did not bother with my fingers this time. This one was another one that absorbed really fast into my lips. It lasted on my lips about 30-35 minutes. The wonderful thing about this one and I waited an hour before I even sat down to write this review. It did not make my lips chap like the Matte lip balm did. So now I am 2 for 2 and happy about that. Upon drying my lips felt nice and smooth and not greasy.

Remember before you try any product do a spot test to make sure your not allergic.

Here is a very short list of ingredients which is surprising for this product:
Petrolatum, Cottonseed Oil, Flavoring.
    • Slick
    • Smooth
    • Thin

Taste / Aroma

Upon opening it I could not smell anything until I put my nose close to it and I could smell the mint. On my lips it smelled pleasant and was not a real strong or over powering smell. When it absorbs the smell disappears as well.

For some strange reason. When I licked my lips it tasted like a light mint type of ice cream, it may be my senses that are strange. I actually enjoyed the taste but it did not want to make me lick my lips a lot. It also added a tingly feeling to my lips, which was not too bad.
    • Light smell
    • Light taste
    • Smells good

Performance

The Minty lip balm lasted on my lips for 30-35 minutes. It absorbed right into my lips. I did not have to wash this product off, but if you wanted to get it off your lips quick you could use some soap and water. My lips did not chap this time, which was amazing because I was looking for another disappointment. I really liked how this smelled and tasted.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural
    • Reapply often

Packaging

Not Soap Radio balms seem to all come in a 1/3 container, that I have come across so far. It has a black top with a blue sticker on it that says "Minty breathe freshening lip balm". It also has a pair of red lips on it. With the words Not Soap Radio on the side. On the back it has a white sticker with a short list of ingredients unlike the others.

Again this did not have instructions that came with it. This container is actually much prettier to hand out as a gift to someone. It can fit in a pocketbook, pair of jeans, or a makeup bag.

Back of jar:
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Travel friendly
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

On my 3rd attempt I have another winner, this really made my day. I still have other Not Soap products to go and am in love with this product line so far, despite the one bad apple of the bunch.
Follow-up commentary
I still have no issues with this product other then it not lasting long. But that does not bother me as long as it does not chap my lips we are good.

Great review. I have an odd question. If you were looking for a good lip balm/gloss to transfer a tingle to a partner would this work.
