Illume pearls by Illume candles

When you open the package, you will be impressed by the sophisticated box that the candle comes in. It is a very sturdy cardboard in a cylinder shape. The lid slips on the top in the manner of an old hat box and has a small ribbon handle on the top to remove it. The minimalist text on the box simple states “Illume Pearl Collection” on the front and “Keshi Net Wt. 275g/9.7oz.” and does not distract from the elegance of the package. The color and texture are very fitting for the Pearl Collection as the box has a pearlescent peach finish. It would make a very beautiful gift for a multitude of occasions.

The candle is in a glass container approx 4” high and 3.5” wide. It has the shape of a very large shot glass and is quite heavy. The candle also has a pearlescent finish, evident even through the glass. It is a dark off-white color. I wanted to try this candle because it was described as being a soy candle with a non-lead wick. I hate cheap candles that produce so much melted wax that they burn themselves out if you don’t pour it off. This burned quite cleanly and much of the wax seems to somehow burn off rather than pool. The description says that it should burn about 80 hours. I have not reached that point but it does last a long time and I would guess that 80 hours is a fair estimate.

I would describe the scent as clean with vanilla and floral undertones. I found it a bit strong as I have a lot of allergies and am prone to migraines, but my partner liked it as it was not too feminine. The scent and delicate lighting definitely helped him get in the mood!

In all, I would highly recommend it to set the mood for romance, or just to enjoy a nice candle to fragrance your home.
