Romantic candle - mist by Kingman - review by MamaDivine

I have a severe candle addiction. I have tin candles, wax candles, soy candles and more! Heck, I even started my own candle "business" (I use this term loosely) back in 2007. So, my experiences with candles is pretty extensive. I know how long they are supposed to burn for and the scent ratios and all that. I saw this candle and had to have it! It wasn't the "be all" of candles, but it was over all pretty nice. The price is great for this candle. You can gift this to someone for a birthday, Valentines day or wedding shower!

My experiences with this candle, I would have to say, were somewhere in between. There were a few "eh" moments and a few "yay!" moments. For the price, I have to recommend it. As far as the quality goes, I think the company could stand to do better by its products.

The Smell/Scent: I found that the smell, right away, was pretty good. I had the French Vanilla scent. When you open the lid, you can definitely smell a strong scent. However, when I burned this candle, the scent did not travel very far. Its nice to sit on the coffee table for a light addition, look and feel to the room, but as far as "filling the air", I didn't find that it did this very well. The scents are pretty sweet and you have a few to choose from, which is nice.

The Texture: I thought it was pretty cool that this isn't like your standard hard candle. I love the candles with the soy pellets inside them. Sadly, this is not a soy candle. Which was one of its downfalls. Soy is my favorite. The pellets seemed to burn quite a bit faster than I had imagined too. Which was, yet again, another downfall.

Container: The Container seemed pretty high quality. Its a heavy glass with a plastic lid. The plastic lid was the only thing I didn't care for, as far as packaging goes. When I am done with a candle, I want to be able to store it right away, so that my kids don't knock it over. I can't do this with the plastic lid, because I am afraid to melt it. So, you will have to wait a little while for it to cool before storing.

The Pheromones: I think the whole pheromone thing is silly to begin with. I have yet to find a lube, lotion, perfume or candle that exhibits any kind of "pheromone" activity to the point of noticing any difference by that product. So, when I purchased this candle, I purchased it because it was cute, and a candle. NOT for the pheromone feature. Which is probably a good thing, because I didn't find that it helped anything "along".
