Body charms stars - body jewelry discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by TacoODoom

The Body Charms non-piercing body jewelry from California Exotics are kind of a miss for me. The chain and gem dangle are made of good quality jewelry findings, sturdy jump rings and what appears to be Swarovski crystals(if they're not the brand name they're of comparable quality). I found the size to be odd, a bit disproportionate in my opinion, and the adhesive was too weak to hold the charms to my skin for any length of time, but too it's credit it was gentle enough that my freakishly sensitive skin didn't bug out.

The 1" diameter of the star makes them far too small to be worn alone as pasties, but they could be used to glitz up a bra, or layered over say the Nippies Silver Star Pasties. The dangle is about 3 inches long which I found to be too much for the 1 inch star. I think if the star was 1 1/2 inches or 2 inches the charm would look more proportionate and probably adhere better.

Alas, they are single use unless you glue them to something(please not skin) with a stronger adhesive.

They CAN be stuck just about anywhere thanks to the peel and stick 3M adhesive on the back of the star, however if your sticking them directly on your skin and would like them to stay where ever you put them you may want to wash, dry and prep your skin with an alcohol wipe to better the chances of adhesion. While the adhesive was gentle and didn't leave me with a star shaped rash, it didn't really hold the heavy charm on me very well. I put it on my arm and went about my laundry day duties, so essentially a fair amount of movement but significantly less sweat then would occur if one was dancing. The charm fell off after 20 minutes. I tried to re-glue them to my arm with eyelash adhesive and they just fell off, leaving the eyelash glue on my arm to collect dust, and the charm to be dive bombed by the cat who decided it was her new toy as soon as it hit the floor.

Essentially, they're fun and sparkly, but kind of impractical for "bedroom wear" but they're great for jazzing up a bra or a merkin.
