(Ginger/Pomegranate) Pleasing to Your body & Senses - Part Four

I love this whole line of products so far. I think they are near-spa quality products for the budget-minded shopper. The scent may be a bit strong at first, but it fades down to become something that won't interfere with other fragrances if you wear perfumes. It is also somewhat gender-neutral as it doesn't scream out "I'm FEMININE".

Use

I decided to extend this product line into a longer series because I keep discovering more and more products in it that I love.

When I went to look up sensual on the internet, I found this definition:

According to Your Dictionary.com, the term sensual is an adjective. The definition states Sensual describes something that is pleasing to your body and your senses. The example that they use is "An example of sensual is a soft fabric that is enjoyable to touch".

Classic Erotica is actually the company that products the "Simply Sensual" line and they did a great job naming this line of products. So far, I've enjoyed everything I've tried - this body butter is the fourth in the line of products.

First of all, this is a body butter in a jar container. It does not pour out of a tube or bottle like cremes or lotions which are moisturizers which have a higher percentage of water content in them than body butters. You must get this out of the jar with either the little spoon that is included or with your fingers. It is designed for all skin types and can be used daily.

The ingredients are: Water (Eau), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Caprylic/Capric/Myristic/Stearic Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Aminomethyl Propanol, Bupleurum Falcatum (Chai Hu) Root Extract, Butylen Glycol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Caffeine, Caprylyl Glycol, Carbomer, Coenzyme A, Copulandrone, Couline-alike, Ethylhexylglycerin, Helianthus Annuss (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Hydroxyehtylcellulose, Isopentyldiol, PEG-8, Reconstituted Androne, Steareth-2, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Phenoxyehtanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Red 33 (CI 17200)

If you suspect you might have a reaction to this, it is good to do a patch test on a small portion of skin.

This product has no phthalates, sulfates, or triclosan and is paraben-free.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is one of the thickest body butters I have used from Eden Fantasys and I think it's thicker than almost ANY body butter I've used save one product and that wasn't labeled "body butter". (It also wasn't from Eden).

The best way to describe this butter is to show it to you.

It is very rich and thick and creamy. As long as I do not use too large of an amount (larger than I need), it doesn't feel greasy when I put it on my hand or rub it into my body. I do notice that compared to some body butters that are not as thick as this, it has a bit of drag to it when I run my hand over it right after applying it. However, as it absorbs into your skin (which it does fairly quickly), that goes away.

Taste / Aroma

With each of the ginger/pomegranate products, I notice that I smell as slightly different version of the scent. Sometimes the pomegranate is the strongest scent, sometimes the ginger is. With this, it smells like the two scents merged together to become a spicy pomegranate. The ginger is perhaps a bit stronger than it is in a few other products but it isn't strong. If I hadn't tried the other products, I wouldn't be saying anything about the ginger because I wouldn't notice it was stronger. However, if I smell this right after smelling one of the other products, I pick up on the ginger a bit more.

I did taste this a while after applying it to my body. I didn't notice a taste other than sort of a "lotiony" taste of the oils in it. I wouldn't want to kiss someone or lick this off them. But I wouldn't mind cuddling up to them if they smelled like this.

The scent is strong in the jar and when you first put it on. Over the course of an hour or so though, it softens and fades to just a sort of sweet scent. You really can't pick out any one fragrance at that point in time.

Performance

I like to apply this twice a day if I'm using it (I use so many different products). I like to apply it right after showering in the morning to lock in the moisture from the shower and then again in the evening before I go to bed. By the way, the best way to "lock in moisture" with a product is to not completely dry off but pat yourself a bit dry and then apply your moisturizer over your damp body and then possibly continue to pat yourself dry or air dry. The moisturizer will help to lock in the water which your body needs to stay soft.

    • Long lasting

Packaging

I love the package this comes in - let me share a picture with you.

Here you can see it next to the sugar scrub that is also part of the Simply Sensual line.

This will also give you a size comparison for the jar:

While those are pictures of the scrub, since that is the same size as the body butter, it will give you an idea of size.

Special Features

I would like to point out that this is part of Classic Erotica's Simply Sensual line. Other products in this line include Shave creme, After Shave & Wax Protection Mist, Bath and Shower Creme, Sugar Scrub, Rejuvenation body oil, Body Lotion, Refreshing Body Mist, candles and more.

I am not sure what Eden carries of this product line at this time but they may be adding more if it sells well, so you may want to check for this product line every couple of weeks to see what might have been added. There are also scents in some of the products.

Personal comments

I would like to state that when writing this review, I did not include anything about pheromones. So many companies claim that they use them, etc. but I can find no solid proof of them working in clinical trials or limited proof.

So I based my review solely on the product's performance as a body body (moisturizing) and how it smelled to me.

If I based it on pheromones than I'd have to say that coffee and spaghetti sauce and onions and gravy are all pheromones cause they draw my man to me when I'm cooking and he wants to go play.

Then again ... maybe he just ALWAYS wants to go play?
