Intimate caress shave cream - shaving foam by Kama Sutra - review by Cori

KamaSutra's Intimate Caress Shave Cream is a must have shaving product for anyone who shaves. It worked great for me on my underarms, legs, and more personal areas. This incredibly rich cream is not only an excellent moisturizer but it is dermatologist and allergy tested. I have sensitive skin and this product left me soft and supple with no rash and no irritation.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua/Eau), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Bromide, Colloidal Oatmeal, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avacado) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Dimethicone, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Steareth-21, Sorbic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance (Parfum)

Imagine a high-end, thick, smooth lotion and you have a good idea of how a pump of this shave cream feels in your hand. This shave cream is just thin enough to work wonderfully in a pump-top bottle but it's thick enough to stay put on your legs, private areas, and underarms without a problem. The pump-top makes for super easy use. And when applied it feels just like a cream lotion.



I tried this shave cream with a cheap, disposable razor for review sake and it worked just as well but it did clog up the razor after a long swipe up my leg. But all it needs was a good rinse under the water and it was good to go.

When using this cream with a high-quality razor, I didn't need to rinse it out as much but I still found I needed to rinse the blades every few swipes. But this is the same for Coochy Cream and Intimo products.

Intimate Caress is available in three divine scents: Pomegranate, Honeysuckle, and Coconut Pineapple.



Honeysuckle: This is a fresh, clean scent. Honeysuckle is a very common beauty product scent but if you're used to smelling other varieties you might want to imagine this as a little less sweet. It still has the honey undertones, but this version is more of a floral scent. If you wanted a unisex scent this would be it for this collection. This scent smells strong but pleasant during use, and will linger lightly on your skin after you've rinsed it off. It truly smells fresh and amazing!

Coconut/Pineapple: This is a delicate coconut and pineapple scent. It reminds me of summertime and smells absolutely amazing! This scent is sweet but not obnoxiously fruity. It smells of creamy coconut with sweet pineapple undertones. It could be described as a light pina colada scent. Perfect for the warmer months and another winner!

Pomegranate: This is the sweetest and strongest scent in the line and smells heavenly. It's a strong fruity scent that's sweet enough to make you want to eat it. It reminds me of the Bath and Body works pom lotion.

If you want to smell like something other than honeysuckle/pineapple & coconut/pomegranate but still want to use this awesome shave cream all you need to do is wash off with some body wash after use. When I didn't wash off afterwards I could smell a light lingering scent for about two hours and then it was gone.

And obviously, this product won't taste good and I wasn't willing to lick it for the sake of the review, sorry!

Intimate Caress worked incredibly well! Once applied in a steamy hot shower, the cream stays put on my legs and other parts with ease due to its thickness. Even when I accidentally got some stray shower spray on my thigh the cream stayed nicely. It lasted long enough for me to shave. The cream left me feeling soft and smooth with limited bumps. I did not experience any razor burn or irritation after use.

When used in a bath the product works even nicer when kept away from spray. Either way, it worked very well.

I rinsed myself off after use but there's no need to use soap unless you want to rid of the lovely scents.

The winning aspect of this cream is really its softening ability (or maybe the scents or thickness...). My legs felt like velvet after using this!

This luxurious cream is packaged in a tall 8.5 ounce bottle with a pump top. The bottle was shipped with a safety piece so it wouldn't accidentally pump shave cream all over my other products during it's journey to me. Thanks, EF, for that!



The front is very pretty looking with a small black and brown KamaSutra logo at the top followed by "Intimate Caress" in black lettering. A short description of the cream is written in English and French underneath. At the bottom will be a design with the scent you chose at the center. The bottom has the size.

The back of the bottle has only black, small lettering starting in English with the intended use and benefits of this cream. Followed by directions. Then this is repeated in other languages. The bottom shows the ingredients and KamaSutra's information. There is a small bat code at the bottom as well.



I kept my safety cap so I can bring my new shaving staple with me when I go on weekend trips. It would be fine for travel as long as you put in a baggie and have enough space for an 8 ounce bottle. This bottle is very discreet, unless you will get touchy about the small KamaSutra logo on the front.
