Great Cleaner, Disappointing Packaging
Overall this toy cleaner is a great value. I was rather disappointed by the fact that the bottle broke, but at least it made my toy box smell great!Published: June 17, 2011

This is the first toy cleaner I have ever purchased. Typically, I use a gentle antibacterial soap and warm water.
My first impression of this toy cleaner was that it smelled AMAZING. It has a very clean, fresh scent. The scent of the cleaner lingers on your toys, making them smell fresh and clean when you take them out of storage again.
To be quite honest with you, this cleaner did not seem to clean any differently than the hand soap I typically use (Soft Soap). The consistency of this cleaner is close to being a gel, and does not lather or foam at all during use. I really like the fact that this cleans thoroughly and does not leave an oily residue after rinsing. On the other hand, the tiny beads that are suspended in the soap can be hard to rinse of and can become stuck to toys made of a softer material.
I had an issue with the packaging of this product. The cap is designed to pop up when opened, much like a dish soap bottle would. This seemed like a functional enough design until 2 weeks into use, when the lid cracked. This caused the cleaner to get all over everything in my toy box and soak into the fabric lining of the box. The packaging of the cleaner is not at all subtle; the words "Climax Bursts" are in large letters on the bottle. This could pose a problem if you plan to store the container in your bathroom.
One container of the Climax Bursts cleaner contains four ounces. It takes roughly a nickle sized drop of the cleaner to clean a large toy, so it will last you a while if the bottle does not break.
These are the ingredients listed on the back label of the bottle:
Active ingredient: Triclosan - antimicrobial.
Inactive ingredients: Acrylate Copolymer, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Cellulose, Chromium Hydroxide Freens, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Coco-Glucoside, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Glycerl Oleate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Iron Oxides, Lactose, Mannitol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Polyquarternium-7, Propylene Glycol, SD Alcohol 40, Sodium C14-16, Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Water.
This cleaner is a water based solution, so it should be safe to use on toys of all materials. I used the product to clean silicone and hard plastic toys.
The "bursting" beads are enriched with vitamin E which is said to help moisturize the toy and help to protect them. This ingredient did help restore a sort of luster to my toys, as if they were brand new!

The top looks good but is hard to open and when useing strength it pops off. Is this normal? any one have the same problems with the bottle?
-
Yep, I covered that in my review. First time I pulled the cap up I popped it right off, but it popped right back on too. Mine even looks like it's about to fall apart but hasn't yet.

WHATS THE BEST CLEANER?

WHAT CHEMICAL IS THE BEST TO CLEAN TOYS WITH AND WILL NOT HURT YOU?

The only cleaner I've ever used that was made specifically for toys was WET brand's Keep It Clean. I still use it and swear by it, you can read my review on it. It cleans thoroughly, does not leave residue, rinses clean, smells awesome, and it's a foaming cleanser which makes the bottle last forever and provides a more thorough clean on anything that has a texture to it. I have the Butterfly Kiss and the butterfly part has wings, antennae, and several lines etched along his belly. Keep It Clean gets in there just fine. On a side note, I was cleaning him the other day and his wing slipped from between my fingers and flicked soapy water in my eye, haha. So I can also say that Keep It Clean will not burn your eyes, at least not from a small amount.
