Great for a quick cleanup!
Cleanliness is next to godliness, so keep your toys clean. No one would eat off a dirty plate so why will some people use a dirty toy? Before and After cleaner is a great product to use between uses and to freshen up your toys, killing bacteria and making your toys safe for use.Published: February 24, 2011
Pros:
quick, easy, nice smell
Cons:
None
If you don't have something to clean your toys off with, you need to invest! Cleansing of your toys is one of the most important parts of using them. By not cleaning your toys, you are endangering yourself and greatly increasing your chances of developing a bacterial infection. Toys love to hold and pick up bacteria so it is important to clean them before and after each use, and even between using on partners.
This is not a product that I would recommend for deep cleaning your toys, but it is a great tool to use as a quick fix. Before and After Toy cleaner comes in a nice bottle with a spray pump which makes it easy to apply to sex toys or spray quickly while switching between partners. It has a nice, fresh candy smell, and when applied to the toys, it sometimes leaves a slight foam residue that disappears rather quickly. Because the Before and After Toy Cleaner does have some Deionized water, Cocamidopropyl, PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Benzyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, and Fragrance, some may worry about using their sex toy directly after using this spray; I noticed no discomfort or burning while using the Before and after. But it is recommended that you rinse the toy after applying the Before and After spray. Before and After spray claims to be safe for all toys, and I would have to say I have not seen any change in any of the toys that I have been using it with, not to mention it is a water based product.
Personally, I don't think this will be the only cleansing product I use, but it will stay in my collection. Normally I this product before each use to re-sanitize my toys. For deep cleaning I usually use a mild antibacterial soap with hot water. When using the spray I usually give it about 3 squirts and wipe it off with a clean paper towel.
Additionally, I purchased the 8oz bottle and am happy to report that this product lasts. By misting your toys you don't have to waste a ton of this product.
In conclusion I would just like to say "Keep you toys clean, not cleaning is just straight nasty", and I really mean that.

What does before & after do.. before you use it?
-
Is it both a lubricant and a sanitizer? how does that work?
-
It is not a lubricant but merely cleans the toys. When the toy is sitting around, it gathers fungal spores, dust, and bacteria.
-
Before you use it it sits there and looks pretty :P
In theory you're supposed to use it before you use your toys and then after you use your toys to ensure optimal cleanness. At least according to the bottle.

Before & After Toy Cleaner...
-
This one got lots of great reviews, but I've got a couple of questions for all you reviewers who use this. The description says you have to "spray, wipe, then rinse" but most of the reviews say no rinsing required. Can you guys confirm there's no residue if you don't rinse? One review mentioned it didn't clean the crevices of textured toys well. Anyone else have that experience? Would you say it replaces the soap & water routine completely?
-
Nah, it doesn't replace soap and water, in my opinion. It may be because I've used soap and water for so long, but I just don't see the benefit to spraying something and then wiping it off. I find the cleaner hard to wipe off on toys w/ texture, and maybe I'm nuts, but then I don't feel like a toy is really clean. It would do in a pinch, but I don't mind soap and water so that's what I go for 90% of the time.

I like the the idea of toy cleaner but I always wondered what exactly you wipe down with? What's a good cloth for that?
