Great for quick clean ups, price could be better.
I am a big fan of my Before & After spray (and how long a bottle lasts, and the price, and...) so I would likely not have purchased this for myself. BUT, I received it as a free gift with my last purchase. I'm actually pretty happy with these wipes, but I wish they weren't so costly.Published: July 19, 2011
Pros:
Smells nice, works well, non-irritating, anti-microbial, discreet
Cons:
Could be cheaper, only 10 wipes for $8, more waste and less economical than a bottle of spray
I got a pack of these wipes with my last Eden purchase. I would otherwise, not have gotten them. Personally, I prefer a bottle of spray cleaner (specifically Before & After) to wipes. Wipes create more waste and often cost a fair amount, and a little bit of spray goes a long way for the same price. But the difference between my beloved Before&After and these wipes is that the spray is just for cleaning toys, whereas these wipes are for cleaning toys AND can be used as body wipes!
Since I didn't have to worry about the cost, I had two things I was curious about with this product- 1. would they smell nice? (always a worry when buying scented products online) and, 2. Would they be irritating to my skin (much less, in very sensitive areas of my skin)? Also, being that I noticed Tea Tree Oil as an ingredient, I wondered if they would smell heavily of tea tree oil. Not that don't like that smell, but I wasn't sure what I was in for, and tea tree can be quite pungent.
The ingredients: Water, Chlorhexidine, Glycerin, Aloe Extract, Vitamin E, Tea Tree Oil.
Before I get into discussing the wipes, there is a date on the back of the package! IT IS NOT AN EXPIRATION DATE. I was worried, apparently it is the PACKAGING date. So not to worry! If the date is behind, then they are not old!
First thing about them - the smell. They have a light, clean smell. They do not smell of tea tree oil. If anything, they smell more like aloe. They sort of have a light, hand lotion scent. I know some one who used to use a Vaseline brand hand lotion and it smelled a lot like this. Not overpowering, not flowery or perfumey. They are not greasy. Not irritating to the skin. They are soft, and nice. Basically, like baby wipes.
If you have sensitive skin, I would say don't go straight to using these on any sensitive areas simply because you may have an allergy to tea tree oil, which can affect some peoples skin adversely. In fact, even if you don't have sensitive skin - if you are not sure if you have an allergy to tea tree oil OR aloe, test them anyway. Better safe than sorry! They did not irritate my skin, or my lady parts (thankfully)! They worked great at cleaning the glass toy I cleaned (but glass is easy to clean). And I used them on 2 bullets I have, one plastic, one metal - and they worked really well. They clean the toys, and don't leave a strong smell behind, or stickiness, or anything that could be bad. They are nice on the skin, and leave a light scent behind, but the scent doesn't stay long (which is not a problem).
I would have given them 5 stars, but since they are $8 for 10 wipes, they aren't really worth it for me. But since they were free, not bad. If they were cheaper, or better yet - if there were more in a package for the same price that would be great. Also, I would love it if the packaging and the wipes themselves were biodegradable. I would LOVE them, actual, in that case. I like that 8oz of spray can last a while, and that a bottle is the only waste it creates really. Whereas with these wipes, you have the plastic packaging, and the 10 wipes. Which may not seem like much, but it adds up.
These wipes are handy, though. They are a good product for anyone. Pretty discreet, could just be regular baby wipes for all anyone knows. Buying a pack to keep in your purse for an after-quicky-clean-up sounds like a good idea! In that case, maybe even a worthwhile investment (for me anyway, since I don't think I would be using them too often if those were the circumstances). They are great for travel, great to keep in your bag, the package isn't terribly big (6 3/4" x 7 1/2").
They are quick, convenient, and great to have on hand. As I said, quickies, or you are too lazy/cozy/basking in sex glow to get up and clean your toys with water, these are great. And I think they would be good on pretty much any material I can think of. If you don't plan on using them on a regular basis, then I would say go for it!

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I haven't used all of them yet (as my Before & After spray is my go-to cleaner), but I still like them. If it came in a larger quantity, that might encourage me to use them more often, without fear of running out.

Eden Wipes - FYI: date on back of package is made on date, NOT expiration date
-
I just received my first package of these, and was confused at first, at why they sent me wipes that expired in november. However, I looked for threads about this subject, and there already several that state this is the MANUFACTURE DATE. I just wanted to make it easier for everyone to see this information. Also, someone has stated they expire 3 years from the manufacture date. Please feel to verify this information as well.
-
I believe that is the info going around about these. I know there were alot of confused people at first, but I think we got it all figured out. Thank you for confirming it though.

Toy/Body wipes good for... lady parts?
-
I was just wondering if these wipes would be good for using on your lady parts as part of your after-fun-times clean up routine?
I'm trying to get better at cleaning myself up afterwards instead of just being lazy. Normally, I'll just get up and wipe with a tissue or toilet paper, but I feel like I could be doing more to clean up. -
I use the wipes down there quite frequently. I use them after play, when I'm on my period, and whenever I feel the need to. They're really handy.

Is this ok to use with fleshlight?
-
If I use this on a fleshlight, will it damage it or safe to use?
-
I am curious to this answer as well!
-
I don't have a fleshlight but, I've used this product on many types of toys with no issues. The only thing is that these are a bit expensive for just a few wipes and they are small.

Toy wipes vs. wet wipes
-
Are toy wipes safer/preferable to something like a general wet wipe? Can I use wet wipes on my toys without damaging them?
-
Quote: Are toy wipes safer/preferable to something like a general wet wipe? Can I use wet wipes on my toys without damaging them?I was asking about that in another thread here. See if there's any helpful information there. You might try comparing ingredients on some toy wipes vs. random wet wipes.
I don't have a definitive answer, though. -
Definitely depends on the toy, but I think general wet wipes are probably fine for toys that you clean with just soap and water. I used to buy wet wipes at the drug store that were "sensitive skin formula" or "hands and face" or something like that to try and reduce the amount of unsafe chemicals in them, and I'd always look at the ingredients list. But I've used general wet wipes on my hard plastic toys with no problems.

UNscented option?
-
I've been looking for a wipe like the Eden toy and body wipes--but I can't stand scents. Please produce an unscented version!
-
Unscented baby wipes? I hardly notice the scent on the eden wipes, though.
-
I agree with Elnoa, I hardly notice the scent at all unless I'm purposely trying to smell for it.

Larger pack?
-
I wonder if they will make them in a larger pack soon. The ten pack does not seem like it is enough.
-
I have noticed them in the free gift section.Personally, I would rather have the free shirt!

Do these come in a large volume package so maybe the price will shrink per sheet?

Thank you for viewing Eden toy and body wipes review page!

thanks for the review. I cant get over the price they want to charge for 10 wipes. I just use some high quality baby wipes. alot cheaper.
Yeah, the price is a bit much.
Great review, I also wouldn't have gotten these if it wasn't for the free gift.
Great review. I noticed last night that Eden lowered the price on these to $5. That makes it a lot easier for me to purchase more of these.
Great review! Very informative!
Really, sexyintexas? That is a much better price!
Yes, I think they changed it yesterday!
Great review, thank you!!
I'm glad they lowered the price! I knew that wouldn't be received well before.
thanks for the review
Great review, thanks!
Nice review
Great review, thanks!
awesome review!
I should add that these ar e REALLY great for campus living. Though if you can get them as a free gift, do that, because they aren't necessarily the best for a college budget (even now that the price has been reduced). I really do like these wipes, and they smell so nice!
Thank you for clarifying the date as the packaging date, not expiration date. Good review!
nice review
I also thought at first glimpse it was an expiration date hehe. I still use my EF wipes and they are okay. They are nothing that give me a wow factor, but do the job well enough. Thanks for your review
