Great Product, but Pricey

Eden Toy and Body Wipes are a convenient product; easy to slip into an overnight case or the Naughty Drawer, and great for quick and easy cleanup. The main downside is the cost of $0.50/wipe. Moist toilet wipes may not be designed specifically for toys, but they cost far less. As a free item with purchase, they're a wonderful deal. Otherwise, they'd need to come down to half of their current price before I'd consider purchasing them.

extremely useful review
Toy clean up is very important if you don't want germs to proliferate on your vibrating friends. We all know this, but sometimes it's hard to convince yourself to actually get out of bed when you're blissed out after a great play session. This is when you want these toy wipes in your naughty drawer. For external toys, particularly those that you don't share, you can use this as your sole cleaning method. For insertable toys, even if you prefer to do a more thorough cleaning or sterilization of your toys later, a quick wipe will at least remove any residue and allow you to put off the chore until morning. This toy can also be used for personal cleaning, though it is for external use only.

Each wipe is about 7" square, though it is hard to say exactly, since the material is a bit stretchy. They come in a travel-friendly packet that is 3 1/2" by 5 1/2", and about 1/2" thick. I am usually very sensitive to fragrances, but I actually find the mild floral scent of this product somewhat pleasant, and it fades quickly.

The ingredients are Water, Chlorhexidine, Glycerin, Aloe Extract, Vitamin E, Tea Tree Oil. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic commonly used in mouthwash and skin cleansers, and is not believed to be harmful in low doses. However, it is possible for individuals to be over-sensitive to it. If this is the case for you, then you can still use this wipe for toy cleaning as long as you rinse it off before you use it next on yourself. Glycerin is an ingredient frequently seen in lubricants, and is now starting to be recognized as unhealthy for the vaginal tract. As this wipe is for external use only, it should not cause problems for any but the most sensitive women, as the concentration is probably lower than the amount of glycerin in most of the items in your shower. Aloe Extract and Vitamin E act as skin moisturizers. Tea Tree Oil is known to work as a bactericide and fungicide, and is the likely source of the fragrance.
Experience
I received these wipes as a free item along with a recent order, and I am very pleased with them. I do not use them for personal use, as I prefer to just use tissues for that, but for toy cleaning, these are very handy to have nearby and do not take up very much room in my Naughty Drawer. I find these wipes especially useful for my Lelo Mia and Lily vibrators, since they are both non-waterproof clitoral vibes. I don't have to worry about liquid getting where it shouldn't when I use these wipes on them.

The one toy cleaning procedure they are useless for is cleaning lint off of a silicone toy before use. All that happens is that the lint gets pushed around - but that's the fault of the silicone and not the wipe.
Follow-up commentary
Even though I still think they are overpriced to purchase on their own, I get a free packet with every order, and that seems to be keeping me well supplied. I use these all the time, particularly with the Lelo Mia. I've also used them with one of my smooth glass dildos. (For textured ones, I'd want to follow up with soap and water to be sure I'd gotten everything.)

One additional use that's not sex toy related is to wipe down the keyboard and touchpad of my laptop periodically, as this is a place where germs can proliferate.

I did try switching to baby wipes for a while, as they are definitely less expensive, but the baby wipes have a soapy feel to them that is less pleasant than the clean feel of Eden wipes. I'm not sure I'd pay full price for Eden wipes if they stopped being available as a free gift with order, but if the price came down even a little bit, I'd make sure I always had a supply of them in my naughty drawer. This is a great quality product, and I love it.

  • Eden Wipes - FYI: date on back of package is made on date, NOT expiration date
    • I just received my first package of these, and was confused at first, at why they sent me wipes that expired in november. However, I looked for threads about this subject, and there already several that state this is the MANUFACTURE DATE. I just wanted to make it easier for everyone to see this information. Also, someone has stated they expire 3 years from the manufacture date. Please feel to verify this information as well.
    • I believe that is the info going around about these. I know there were alot of confused people at first, but I think we got it all figured out. Thank you for confirming it though.

  • Toy/Body wipes good for... lady parts?
    • I was just wondering if these wipes would be good for using on your lady parts as part of your after-fun-times clean up routine?

I'm trying to get better at cleaning myself up afterwards instead of just being lazy. Normally, I'll just get up and wipe with a tissue or toilet paper, but I feel like I could be doing more to clean up.
    • I use the wipes down there quite frequently. I use them after play, when I'm on my period, and whenever I feel the need to. They're really handy.

I do the same and haven't had a problem.

  • Is this ok to use with fleshlight?
    • If I use this on a fleshlight, will it damage it or safe to use?
    • I am curious to this answer as well!
    • I don't have a fleshlight but, I've used this product on many types of toys with no issues. The only thing is that these are a bit expensive for just a few wipes and they are small.

  • Toy wipes vs. wet wipes
    • Are toy wipes safer/preferable to something like a general wet wipe? Can I use wet wipes on my toys without damaging them?
    • Quote: Are toy wipes safer/preferable to something like a general wet wipe? Can I use wet wipes on my toys without damaging them?
I was asking about that in another thread here. See if there's any helpful information there. You might try comparing ingredients on some toy wipes vs. random wet wipes.

      I don't have a definitive answer, though.
    • Definitely depends on the toy, but I think general wet wipes are probably fine for toys that you clean with just soap and water. I used to buy wet wipes at the drug store that were "sensitive skin formula" or "hands and face" or something like that to try and reduce the amount of unsafe chemicals in them, and I'd always look at the ingredients list. But I've used general wet wipes on my hard plastic toys with no problems.

  • UNscented option?
    • I've been looking for a wipe like the Eden toy and body wipes--but I can't stand scents. Please produce an unscented version!
    • Unscented baby wipes? I hardly notice the scent on the eden wipes, though.
    • I agree with Elnoa, I hardly notice the scent at all unless I'm purposely trying to smell for it.

  • Larger pack?
    • I wonder if they will make them in a larger pack soon. The ten pack does not seem like it is enough.
    • I have noticed them in the free gift section.Personally, I would rather have the free shirt!

I wish they would come out with a 20-25 pack

    • Do these come in a large volume package so maybe the price will shrink per sheet?

Right now they don't, but if you mention it in the next 'Eden Should Carry...' thread I bet they'd listen! It's a good idea!

      This is a great idea.
