Black light body paint kit by Pipedream - review by Darkestraven

The Black Light Body Paint Kit is great for a fun night in the bedroom for you and your partner. There are a few flaws with this kit but the flaws does not out weight the pros. The black light responsive paints do not glow under the light bulb that comes in the kit and you have to put a decent amount of paint on your partners skin to see it but, under a regular black light these paints do glow. They do not glow super bright but they do in fact glow. The black light bulb in this kit really is not a black light at all; the bulb is actually a purple light bulb. The bulb did not make any white parts of our bedroom glow like a typical black light would. The incense is amazing. I could not figure out what the incense scent was but it smells fantastic. The kit does not come with an incense holder but I have one and you can get one really cheap at a dollar store. Now the massage oil samples are great as well. They are small little pillow packages and you get five of them in this kit. Three are Body Heat and come in three different scents and the other two are Spanish Fly and come in two different scents I will say more about the scents later on. The massage oils are really nice. They go on smooth and silky and not sticky at all. The smell is not overpowering and is a very nice subtle scent. There is enough of everything for more than one session and you will have a lot of fun with each session you have with this kit.

The body paint seems to be oil based and is not edible. My husband decided to taste it and he said that it tastes like oil. The incense is just regular incense that they name “Love Scent”. The body oils are made of oil of course and a fragrance. None of these products should be put on or in your genital area. They can possibly cause an infection if used in those areas. Now onto the flavors. None of the products are labeled edible but my husband decided to taste them all. The paints like I said earlier have an oil like taste to them and they do not have any sort of smell to them. The oils also do not have any special taste to them except an oil taste but they smell great and have the perfect balance of smell. The Body Heat brand oils have the scents of green apple, blue raspberry and strawberry. The Spanish Fly brand oil has the scents of pina colada and strawberry. None of the oils are actually warming but when getting a massage the friction usually generates some heat anyway. The oils have no sticky feeling to them; they went on smoothly and left no residue. Everything was very easy to clean off as well. All you need is a damp washcloth to wipe down with; you do not need to run into a shower right away which is great so the mood does not stall.

The paint in this kit had no distinct smell. They are not edible, but my husband decided to taste them anyway and he said they taste oil based. The incense smells amazing but you cannot pinpoint the exact scent of them. The oil packets each have their own scent that is not overpowering and are just the right amount of scent. The kit did not say that the oils are edible, but my husband tasted them and said they have no flavor to them, they just taste like oil.

The main concept of this toy is to get messy in a fun way and it hits all those targets. If I did not have my own black light it probably wouldn’t be as much fun since the glowing does not show up with the bulb that is provided. Everything works the way it is supposed to in this kit only if you have all the right things, meaning a black light of your own and an incense holder. The paint glides on good but you need to put enough on to see it. The oils are perfect and work just like they should. They make a massage so much better and more sensual. I almost did not finish giving my husband a massage before he wanted to get between the sheets, and I almost did not finish getting my own massage as well because the massage made me get so in the mood I did not want to finish it. The black light bulb did not work the way it was supposed to, honestly it was not a black light bulb at all, just a purple light bulb. It did make the room have a nice purple glow and ambiance. Other than the light bulb everything was perfect.

The Black Light Body Paint Kit came in a plastic wrapped box with a picture of a woman on each side that they make to look as if she is painted with the paints but you can tell it is a fake picture. Also on the box it states what is inside the packaging. Once you open the box (depending on which end you open) you will see the incense sticks in little batches all around the box. The paint and the oils seemed like they were just thrown inside the box. If you shake the box once you open it all the loose pieces will fall out. The light bulb is in the bottom of the box and in there really tight. I would advise opening the bottom of the box to get the light bulb out easily and safely. The light bulb is in its own box so it does not break during shipment. The packaging was a little lackluster overall. I was hoping that everything was sealed in its own bag or even a cardboard separator. The whole inside of the box, paints and oils had incense dust all over them. Thank goodness that the incense smelled amazing.

My husband and I had a great time with this kit. We first started out with putting the light bulb in and we both knew that it was not a real black light bulb so we switched it to our own. After we did the switch we used the oils. My husband does not like the feeling of most oils but he loved these oils. He said that they actually made his hands feel soft after using them. We gave each other massages and let me tell you it was euphoric. The way it glides felt so good. We had a blast using the paints on each other as well. Once we had the lighting right we couldn't help but laugh at each others drawings on our bodies. We had to make sure we did not use it all and cover ourselves head to toe so we can have more fun later on. My husband wanted to glow from head to toe and make me laugh so hard I could not breathe. Honestly I have to say that this was the most fun we have ever had in the bedroom that did not consist of sex, at least not very quickly once we went into the bedroom. It definitely brings you closer as a couple this kit, because you get to have kid like fun together.
