Heart warmer is fun and reusable, and you don't even need to hide it.
Use it for temperature play or to sooth away muscle aches. Either way, it's a great product worth much more than the small price.Published: February 15, 2011
Pros:
Reusable, says hot for a long time, cheap
Cons:
None
Being someone who loves to work out regularly, my muscles and back are almost constantly sore. This heart massager is a perfect way to sooth away my aches and pains. When it gets hot, it stays hot for a very long time. I've noticed that some people have an issue with the size of this product. When laying flat in my hand, it covers it almost entirely. It is the perfect size for pinpointing aching spots, for me at least. The heart warmer is more than just a muscle and tension relaxer, it can also be used to warm up gloves and hats when preparing to go outside in the winter. Another nice thing about this is that because of its shape and function, it is not really necessary to hide it from other people.
The liquid inside comes in three different colors, red, pink and purple. I chose purple, though when activated and hardened it is pink. The outside lining is made of silicone, making it a safe to use product. To activate the heat, just bend the metal disk inside back and forth. The bending of the disk causes a chemical reaction with the liquid, resulting in the formation of hot crystals. After the heart warmer cools down it hardens.
In order to reuse the warmer, place a small towel in a pot and bring some water to a boil. Place the warmer in the boiling water and let it sit for about ten minutes or until all the crystals have dissolved. I think I need to make it clear that all the crystals MUST be dissolved. If even a pea sized amount of crystals are left, the entire thing will re-crystallize and harden again. After the warmer is boiled, you can cool it down by letting it sit in some cold water or wrap it in a towel and use that heat. If you want to save it for another time, just put it away somewhere. Next time you want to use it, just snap the metal disk and restart the whole process.

Follow-up commentary

This heart warmer still works just fine. The only downside is the necessary boiling to get it back to its pre-warmed state. It gets just as hot as the first time I used it. The heart warmer is great for cramps and muscle aches. I love it!

This would not be able to burn me would it?
-
I doubt it would actually burn you.

Quote: This would not be able to burn me would it?I don't know if you've seen those stick-on heating pads sold in stores, but it's basically the same; the temperature isn't enough to burn you, but the prolonged exposure could. Sort of like when your lap top overheats, its really warm but it doesn't hurt... until you let it *keep* sitting on your lap.

Thanks for the review!
Nice product. Same with the review. Thanks.
Nice Review! I just ordered one of these and can't wait to get it!
These are the bomb. I killed mine and need to order another one... or 2
I really need to get one of these before winter ends.
Thanks for the review!
Seems great, though I'm confused about how this crystal thing works. Really informative review, I precisely wanted to know how to activate it. I wonder if it would be dangerous to use it to warm my feet at night...
