HoneySuckle Happily Ever After

I love this creme because it's such as great moisturizer. It's thin, smooth and applies evenly to the skin. The soft, silky feeling lasts a long time and smells great too. It wasn't quite what I had in mind because I was looking for something thicker, but it's still a great product and I would recommend the Bella Il Fiore Whipped Body Creme to anyone looking for a good body lotion.

extremely useful review
This Bella Il Fiore Happily Ever After Creme is an excellent moisturizer and contains natural oils and vitamins to replenish your skin. It boosts ingredients such as vitamin E, vitamin A, ginseng, chamomile, calendula, olive oil, grape seed oil, and green tea leaf extract. It says it is paraben free and NO animal testing which is great. However it also has stearic acid, glyceryl stearate, polysorbate 60, ethylhexglycerin, etc...so it is not 100% natural so people with sensitivities might want to be careful. Actually I can't read some of the other ingredients because the printed text and designs on my container are not very well situated and can be rubbed off easily with my fingernail. Some of them came blurred and damaged from transport already. While it's not that big of a problem for me, it doesn't speak highly to the quality of the packaging. Otherwise the packaging is very attractive, in a short, round screw lid container which has light pink background with floral designs. It's a simple, sophisticated label as well, nothing that you would feel uncomfortable leaving out when your parents are visiting or something.

Using the bottle is awkward as I find all wide lidded containers tend to be. It's convenient access but it can be messy to put your hand inside and I find it always ends up getting all over the outside of the container. This creme is thin enough that it could have been put in a pump container or more easily controlled dispenser. The creme itself is not disappointing however, it is very thin and light but not watery. I expected it to be a heavier, thicker cream consistency given that it's a whipped body creme. When applied to the skin it blends in smoothly with little residue and I didn't find it to be greasy or oily at all. I like to use it on the dry parts of my skin; the knees, feet, elbows, and hands. The moisturizing effects are long lasting but it does blend into the skin quickly and so I found that to use it for massage purposes means that you have to use a lot of creme and I didn't find it to be very effective for that application.

I tried the HoneySuckle Grapefruit flavor and I find it to be very light and fruity, not overpowering or overly sweet at all. I often find those fruity flavors to be too strong and especially strawberry ones seem to always smell like cough syrup. However this body creme smells very natural and refreshing. I'm not exactly sure what honeysuckle smells like on its own but this product smells like sweet, flowery grapefruit. Additionally, this should not be used as a lubricant and it is not an edible cream so be advised. The container is a large 12 oz jar so you do get quite a bit even thought it's a little on the pricey side.

I think you'll find that the container gets messier in time if your lotioned hands touch it. That's the only downfall I've found.

As this isn't advertised as a massage cream, it;s not a con for me, personally.

Great review! I'm disappointed to hear that this wasn't an actual "whipped cream." For that price, I would totally expect a cream, not a lotion. Lol. I'm picky, but there's actually a huge difference in a whipped body cream and a darn lotion. I'm glad I didn't buy this. Thanks for the outstanding review on it!

  • Anyone have both of these scents?
    • I can not for the life of me decide on a scent! I just ordered desserted island by Cake Beauty so I will have a coconut scented product. If you have both which do you prefer and why? Is the coconut almond sweet or artifically coconut-y? Does the grapefruit smell like grapefruit?

Also is this product actually paraben free? It has a confusing package ingredient list and the product ingredient list.

I've just tried the hand cream with the almond / coconut scent and I also have the body cream with the grapefruit / honeysuckle scent. They both scent amazing, really.

The almond / cocnut smells like most other products with coconut :) I have a lip balm with coconut aroma and it smells pretty the same. But the smell is really nice. In the grapefruit / honeysuckle version there is more of the honeysuckle than from the grapefrui in the aromat. But the grapefruit is also noticeable. It is quite sweet, but at the same time fresh because of the citrus note. And it also smells really nice.

I didn't regret having any of them and I hope you won't too :) Good luck with making your choice!

Just checked the main product page. It does contain parabens (damn you autocorrect)

On my jar, there are no parabens listed. I figure the product page is mislabeled, but it is really confusing :( Not sure what the deal is...
