Suntouched edible candles - massage candle by Earthly Body - review by mckwell

I was really excited about this product, but was pretty disappointed with it overall. The candle had a great smell - the fragrant strawberry scent hits you as soon as you open it, even before lighting the candle. Unfortunately, it had a horrible taste. My partner had to stop what she was doing to go and rinse out her mouth. There wasn't much flavor, only a waxy film that seemed to coat the back of her throat. I decided to try it next, and didn't have to rinse my mouth, but the taste wasn't particularly pleasant. This kind of ruined the mood of the evening.

On the plus side, the sensation of hot candle wax dripped or poured on to the body is still a nice one, and this product was great for that. The candle came with a small spoon, similar to a sample spoon you might get at an ice cream shop. We used the spoon to drip the wax onto delicate areas, or you could simply turn the tin onto the body and and pour the wax on.

While not the best tasting, the candle wax can be used to gently massage into the skin. It takes some rubbing in, but as the body temperature heats up, it can add a fragrant, sensual activity to get you and your partner into the mood. There is a good amount of wax in each candle, so the product will last for many sessions.

I would probably not recommend this product to many of my friends. I think any regular candle would provide you with the same sensations (just don't try to lick them!). The product could be improved by adding more flavor to the wax. I don't think you can get around the waxiness, but the flavor could be sweeter.
