I'm "Blushing" 'Cause I Stink

The Make Me Blush body mist may be the perfect gift to yourself, a friend or a lover. Its scent of sweet pea, blue violet, powder and white cedar make for an interesting combination that may or may not work with your body chemistry. However, it really smelled awful on me and I will be passing this on to someone who can enjoy it.

Use

Body Boudoir's Naughty Secrets pheromone body mist (this review is for Make Me Blush) is designed to make you smell delicious and evidently attractive, due to the pheromones. (I don't really buy it.) This product would work well for anyone who wants a quick spritz to freshen up, and would make a great gift for friends, partners etc. I feel the fragrances available are appropriate for young girls, but the packaging is not. For one, it's called "Naughty Secrets" and the bottle has information on it about being a sensual sex attractant, etc. However, the label could probably be peeled off if you're ever in that situation.

I do not foresee any allergic reactions while using this product. It is paraben and sulfate free, and doesn't have any odd ingredients - just water, alcohol and various perfume extracts.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

I find the texture of the Make Me Blush body mist is just like any other - thin and alcohol-y when spritzed and dries quickly. Of course, if you spray it too close to your skin, or spray multiple pumps on the same area, it'll probably run a bit before it dries. The body mist does not feel sticky or greasy, and washes off quite well.

Here is a photo of the mist on my forearm a few seconds after spraying the mist.

Taste / Aroma

Let's just knock this one out - I did not taste the body mist, nor do I plan on it. Sorry for the lack of information on that, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

The Make Me Blush body mist's packaging indicates that its scent is that of "A breath of petal softness combines sweet pea and blue violet with a blush of powdery white cedar."

I can definitely smell the sweet pea and powder (which I found to be very strong powdery smelling and unpleasant) and some kind of musky aroma, which I'm assuming is the white cedar. I cannot smell the blue violet. However, the powder scent is overwhelming to the other aromas and therefore ruins this product's scent for me. When I wear it, it reminds me of my grandma! Maybe this particular blend just didn't match with my body's chemistry, which can definitely happen in body mists and perfumes. One thing can smell horrible on me, and delicious on someone else. It's just a matter of trial and error, I suppose.

I think this would've smelled a lot better had Body Boudoir turned up the sweet pea and toned down on the powder. The scent is strong at first, but fades into a powdery bouquet of foulness... for me, at least.
    • Bad smell
    • Light smell
    • Strong smell

Performance

I found that Make Me Blush could still be lingering after a few hours, though very lightly... and powdery. (I know, I can't let go of that grudge!)

I wore it once, and everyone around me was like... "What the hell are you wearing? Ugh!" well, that made me feel great. I didn't like the fragrance and had my parents smell me to see what they though of the mist on me. They both had negative remarks and scowls on their faces!

I decided to wash it off. Picture it: me, over the bathroom sink, with a wash rag and a bar of soap trying to wash this shit off of my chest/neck. I made a mess with splashes and puddles all over the counter, but I got it off. I didn't have to wash too vigorously.

The best thing about this product is that it's versatile and perfect for gift-giving. It may not work for some, but on others it will smell fantastic. I personally feel it has a lot to do with one's body chemistry. I also really enjoyed the sweet pea scent.

Simply put, the powder ruined all the other parfums/extracts in this body mist for me. It was just too much.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural
    • Needs to be washed off with soap and water

Packaging

Here is the size of the body mist compared to a bottle of nail polish.

And the sides/back of the bottle...

A Naughty Secret... to Wear & Share!
A Flirtatious Little Fragrance... to Inspire Hidden Desires
Refreshes Skin with Fragrance & Sensuality... a Woman's Secret Alibi to be Simply Irresistible
White Tea Extract... Moisturizes Skin
Perfume Base... Provides Lasting Fragrance
Infused with Pheromone Sex Attractant... to Enhance Sex Appeal

As you can (hopefully) see, the bottle indicates this product is made in the USA, cruelty free/no animal testing, sugar free, safe for all skin types, paraben free and sulfate free.

The bottle also says that if any irritation occurs, to discontinue use. It's for adult use only; keep out of reach of children.

In addition, the packaging does not allow the perfume to leak, as it is a simple pump-mist bottle with a cap.
    • Does not leak
    • Not discreet
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

Unfortunately, the Make Me Blush body mist did not work out for me. I ordered the Make Me Blush Coochy shave creme for a friend, and found the scent to be delightful. I decided to go ahead and get myself a bottle of the body mist. Whoa! They smell completely different. The shave creme in this scent was much more pleasant and I feel it really highlighted the light sweet pea scent. The body mist is a lot stronger and I think it showcases the wrong scent.

I've deducted two stars from its rating, so it's getting a 3/5. I've deducted one because it personally didn't work for me, and another because the scent was way too overwhelming.
