I Really Expected More...

If you like unscented soaps and you have extremely oily skin, this may be the product for you. However, if you're like me and you prefer to smell good and have soft, hydrated skin, don't buy this product. Stick with the scrub, bath salts, and body spray!

Use

This is designed to be a body wash to complete the set of the Venus Body Scrub, Bath Salt, and Body Spray... in which ALL smell AMAZING. The body wash, on the other hand, does not smell amazing. It smells rather bland and it is as if there was no scent at all which was just downright disappointing.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The viscosity is very thin... Like a regular drugstore body wash, except watered down a bit. It seems to rinse off before you can even get it scrubbed in. Works better with a shower pouf to help get a lather. It felt very dry, so I know that it cleans well... just TOO well. It takes a lot to feel dry while you're in water. I don't like the way it really dried out my skin, so I wont be using it again.

Taste / Aroma

The aroma was non-existent with this body wash. I'm surprised, because the rest of the set smelled so good. I was very disappointed and I completely regretted my purchase. It reminds me of any drugstore body wash that is unscented. This may be a pro for some, but for me... I didn't like it. Thankfully, the body scrub alone works well enough.

Performance

Obviously this product didn't perform well. It was too thin, dried me out, and didn't smell as amazing as I had hoped it would. I would not recommend this to a friend or family member, and I'm surprised that it is such low quality compared to the rest of the Venus Peach Set.

Packaging

The packaging is almost identical to the peach Body Scrub from Venus. The only difference is that the body wash is clear without all the salt and pumice bits. It has no sexual references, and is not sexual in any way. You could take it anywhere without worry.

I have the milk already, and am thinking of lavander or pineapple. Who has tried pineapple?

    • What is your favorite venus body wash scent?
    • I have a few of the other Venus products and the scents are the same across them- the bodywash is the only one with glycerin, so I can't get it due to allergies.

The cucumber melon is very forward on the cucumber and is a crisp, clean scent with hints of melony sweetness.

The milk reminds me most of public bathroom handsoap. It has that sweet, powdery smell, with a hint of almonds. I like it mixed with other things, but dislike it alone.

The green tea smells distinctly of green tea, but it has the sweet tinge to it that makes it more of a standard bath and body scent than a true green tea smell.
    • I just got the lavender, and it smells fantastic in the bottle. I haven't used it yet, but I'm looking forward to it!
