I shall paint you as dessert!

Painting is a sensual experience on its own. Mix that with a lover and you have an even more blissful experience. When the paint tastes like heaven it's incredible. Shunga really came through with this body paint. The flavors are absolutely delicious and left me wanting chocolaty desserts, so I made my lover into one, and a piece of art, as well!

Use

Shunga body paint is a very lovely foreplay accessory. Painting on your lover is a highly sensual experience, but licking and kissing off the delicious flavor is even more exciting. This paint is great for anyone out there who appreciates creative sexuality, or flavorful edible treats.

The paint can be applied just about anywhere: the back, stomach, chest, legs, arms, face, and the other places your lover likes to be touched. The only intimate area that should be avoided is the vagina. It's loaded with sugars, and sugars can lead to some disruptions in the ecosystems down there.

The ingredients are highly simple: Sugar (sucrose), Water, Cacao (cocoa), Citric acid, Salt (sodium chloride), Potassium sorbate, Vanillin. This makes it suitable for consumption and application for most people out there. On the other hand, there is no listed nutritional value on the package, so if you're a strict calorie counter you might want to consider your portions, although each use would probably be a small drop in the bucket.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

As a paint, it is rather thin won't offer you the best coverage, but that's not what you were looking for, was it? It's almost exactly like slightly watered down chocolate syrup, because that's pretty much what it is. It's smooth when applied, but does leave traces of stickiness behind. It's not as sticky as other edible body products can be, though.

The paint holds on to the brush well, but it's hard to get anything relatively artistic because the paint is a little on the thin side. It's not something you can create masterpieces with, but it does do it's job fairly well. The brush leaves little drag lines through it. If it were a little thicker of or had an actual brush instead of foam it would probably be a bit more like an actual paint.

Taste / Aroma

I wasn't expecting much from this because it's one of those flavored novelty items, but I was incredibly impressed. The Chocolate tastes . . . unsurprisingly like chocolate syrup, but in a good way. It almost seems as it's just repackaged chocolate syrup, which is actually a plus in my book. The Chocolate and Vanilla is basically what white chocolate syrup would taste like and is incredibly delicious. Sadly, I wanted to snack on the bottle of it, but that's going a little too far. It just made me crave some white chocolate fudge. Both also have a slight aroma to them, but again, it's about the same amount as a chocolate syrup.
    • Light taste
    • Smells good

Performance

I was hoping for some delicious paint I could use to adorn my lover with intricate kanji. This isn't that, but it still lives up to what it says it does. It's not really a paint as much as it is a body topping, really, but it tastes absolutely fantastic unlike some of the others out there. It's a lot of fun in action and requires little if any clean up. If you lick it up really well there's no trace of stickiness left behind. If you don't there's still very minimal and it's easily rinsed off with a dab of water. The stickiness doesn't seem to transfer to any other surfaces, so it's not something you'll have to wash your sheets after unless you somehow spill the practically non-spillable bottle. It should last you though quite a few painting sessions, as well. A little tends to go quite far.

Packaging

I love Shunga's packaging because it's so classy and romantic. It's very reminiscent of the orient and the Kama Sutra. The packaging is also incredibly tasteful, as the wording on it is fairly small. I enjoyed that this came with a little brush, but the brush less than exciting. Substituing a small paint brush will also work and give you much better results.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Does not leak
    • Would make a nice gift
Follow-up commentary
Four months later this stuff is still just as delicious and fun. It's surprising how long one bottle lasts because a little goes a long way. It hasn't dried up or gotten any stickier, really. It's not something that sees a whole lot of use, but it still is much appreciated.
