Instant watery eyes

Shunga Oriental Bath Crystals was a total waste of money for me. The fragrance gave me a horrid allergic reaction before I even used it. However, the little candle that came with it lasted for a long time.

I have allergies. And I mean bad allergies. It doesn't take much before I am sneezing up a storm. Needless to say, I am not a big fan of spring with all the trees and plants having sex. I've even heard spring called tree bukaki.

But it doesn't take that much to have my eyes watering so bad that it looks like I have been crying for hours. Sometimes this gets in the way of me being a bath product junky. I have trouble with some fragrances that I really like. I can open up a bottle and get a punch in the face by my allergies. This gets old really fast and this is why I am very fussy about what fragrances I go for. Usually, oceanic or food fragrances are safe. Floral and perfume like fragrances are the ones that just kill me.

I love a good bath soak, so I picked up the Shunga Oriental Bath Crystals in Ocean in the hopes that it would be safe. Shunga Oriental Bath Crystals comes in a pound and half tin. It comes with a floating candle and a sea shell to use to scoop out the bath crystals. It's made with Dead Sea Salt to help leave the skin soft and sooth the body. It's made from sodium chloride, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, fragrance, glycerin, carthamus tinctorius, and prunus dulcis.

I really wanted to love this. I love oceanic fragrances a lot. When I opened up the tin, my eyes instantly started to run. The fragrance was so over powering that you could smell it all though my apartment. I sealed back up the tin, but the stuff was in the air already. My eyes where watering so badly for hours, even after I took allergy medication.

If i had such a nasty reaction to just the scent of Shunga Oriental Bath Crystals I didn't want to run the risk of it coming into contact with my skin. So I pulled out the little floating candle and out to the dumpster it all went. I really couldn't stand to be in my own home because the fragrance was hanging in the air for hours after I got rid of it all. I had to air out my apartment before my eyes would stop watering.

So all that I was left with was a cute little candle. It actually lasted for a few hours when I let it up in a bowl of water. It didn't have any scent thankfully.

I had really wanted to enjoy Shunga Oriental Bath Crystals, but I just didn't want to run the risk.
Follow-up commentary
Honesty truth, I couldn't get rid of Shunga Oriental Bath Crystals fast enough when I opened the can up. Yeah, I didn't even try them out the way they where supposed to be used because the smell was just way to much for me.

I always heard that a review can't be published if the person hasn't tried the product... I guess in a way smelling it is half of trying it, though, isn't it?

Sorry it didn't work out, but it would have been interesting to know if the smell diluted in water.
