Juicy Tutti Frutti
I like this oil as a lotion more than I do as a massage aid. For me, the scent is so overpowering at first that it's more distracting than anything. It seemed to kill the libidos around my house, but I think neither of us are exceptionally partial to fruit scents. We enjoy musky, heady & masculine scents the best.Published: November 6, 2011
Pros:
A Little Goes a Long Way
Cons:
Scent is Initially Quite Strong, but Quickly Mellows Out
Shunga Fruit Flavor Massage Oil is a unique blend of fruits and I can pick out one or two of them, but for the most part it's just this wildly amazing-smelling concoction that reminds me of Tutti Frutti ice cream or a stick of Juicy Fruit gum (as others have pointed out in the past).
It's pleasant and calming once some of the alcohol that holds the scent notes evaporates, but during the first few minutes of initial contact the aroma is quite strong and may overpower some. After about an hour after the oil has been massaged into the skin, the scent seems to be barely there at all. You have to get close to get a whiff or two of the mixed fruits.
This is the very first massage oil that I have ever used before and I'm glad I picked the flavor that I did. I think given how sweet the scent is that the peach and apple flavors would be extremely sweet, but that's just a guesstimation on my part. I'm willing to give them a try, though.
The oil pours like water out of the flip-top cap. Try to prevent laying the bottle on its side if at all possible. While the parts seem to fit together quite nicely, there is always a potential it will leak onto your clothes or bedding.
A dime-sized amount covers one leg and a quarter-sized amount covered my back.
We were able to get a full fifteen minute massage going with just one application. We don't like for our skin to be especially slick, so we probably are more conservative in the amount of oil we use than most people would be.
It took about an hour before the oil had completely absorbed into the skin, as I don't think I rubbed it in well enough on the first go. It takes about thirty minutes to feel absorbed by the skin if it's rubbed in well. Until it was completely absorbed, the back of my knees and one area on my buttocks itched every few minutes or so.
I haven't experienced any kind of skin irritation other than that. Do not use this product if you have acne on your body. The formula does contain alcohol and will not feel good on broken skin. And it's probably best not to clog up those pours with an oil product in the first place.
I actually like to use this about an hour before I go to bed at night so that my legs are nice and soft for the next day's shave. My husband says that he likes the way it smells and can barely notice it after the initial application process. However, it seems that on the nights where I have used this product, our sex is less than stellar and certainly not on par as if it were just my own natural scent at play. So, that's a downer for me.
A very wise friend of mine told me that on those days when the heat is just too hot to bear, if you pop this bottle into the fridge it provides a soothing cool down. This oil does not solidify like other oils do. So that's a huge plus. The other plus is that it's a 14 oz bottle and it's going to last a very, very long time.
I don't think I would ever use this as a lubricant or for male masturbation because I don't want my man's junk smelling like fruit and I don't think he does either. Aside from the massage aspect, it's a great lotion for really dry skin and could even be placed on a q-tip and dabbed at the pulse points for extra seduction points!

Follow-up commentary

I still like it, I just don't use it. I've sent it on to a home where I knew it would be used often. Just for the record though, if you ship the bottle to somewhere else after it's been opened, it will leak so make sure it is wrapped very well and if you can position where it will stand up, even better.

We are wanting to try something new. We have tried the fruit scent and vanilla...which one should we try next?
-
The strawberries and champagne is probably the next scent I'm going to get myself.
-
I like the 'organica' scent. Very light pear scent.

Also: I just realized wthis for for massage oil. Not lubrication. Whoops! Please disregard. -
Personally, I think System JO H2O Flavored tastes the best.

Personally, I think System Jo H2O is crap.
I have tried Wet Flavored and really liked blueberry.
Also, I really like Tokyo Aroma in Mango/Melon!

Which do you like best? Shunga or Kama Sutra massage oils?
-
I've never tried Shunga but I have the massage therapy kit from Kama Sutra and I love it! Do the Shunga oils absorb as well as Kama Sutra? Which do you like better and why?
-
I personally like the Shunga oils better than the Kama Sutra oils for the scent. To me they absorb about the same, the Shunga ones might take a little bit longer to fully absorb if you go real heavy with them. But I love the candy scents that Shunga has.
-
Thats good that they absorb quickly. I love the Kama Sutra oils but I'd like to try a Shunga and see if I like it. Do they leave you sticky? I'd imagine something so sweet and candy like would leave a sticky feeling. I think I'd like to try the vanilla, rose, or lavender. Of course those ones are sold out right now I think.
