KamaSutra has some things to work on

Overall, this product gets 4 stars. I take one star away for the small amount of body paint and the lack of good flavoring. Everything else was top notch, and it made a great gift for my fiancé. A very fun way to spice things up!

Use

The KamaSutra Chocolate Body Paint kit comes with a small jar of milk chocolate flavored body paint, and a high quality body painting brush. This kit is great for spicing up a rainy day at home, or just for fun during regular foreplay. Chocolate has been one of the most sensual flavors from the dawn of time, making this body paint something extra special to play with.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Upon first opening the small jar of milk chocolate body paint, you can see that the consistency is quite thick. It's similar to a thick syrup or icing. As you begin dipping your brush into the chocolate body paint, it starts to loosen up. Once the paint has been applied to the skin it will start to thin down.

This body paint should not really be microwaved, although you can do that if you wish to play with temperatures. I recommend heating it slowly in the microwave for 10 second intervals until you have reached your desired heat. A better idea is to microwave a glass bowl of hot water and let the jar sit in it for a few minutes while tightly closed. This will loosen the paint and make it more pliable.

The paint itself is quite sticky, but body paint should definitely be sticky if you are going to have any fun. There isn't much of a texture to this paint, nor is there much of a color. It is a lot like painting syrup onto your partner's body. If you are looking to paint an actual picture on your lover's body, I'd suggest going to a craft store.

Taste / Aroma

I saw another review that said this as well, but the paint tastes a lot like Tootsie Rolls. I have to say that it is more of a watered-down Tootsie Roll flavor. Nothing like milk chocolate, or real chocolate at all. As I have done with other KamaSutra products, I simply put a few drops of flavoring into the body paint. I put two drops of almond extract and one drop of vanilla extract into this body paint to give it a better flavor. One thing about KamaSutra products is that you are going to get a better smell than flavor, so keep that in mind. You can only go so far with flavor for under $30.

By itself, without the extra flavors, the body paint wasn't too bad. I just added something extra to enhance the experience with my fiancé on a special night. The body paint itself can be so much fun that the flavor won't even matter once you get going.

Performance

The body paint held up well on the skin. It did not drip or melt off, and stayed on top of the skin rather than absorbing. The paint stayed in place, ready to be licked off. Very good quality for body paint, aside from the flavor. The brush works rather well, and is similar to the brushes you see in shaving kits for men. It did not shed, and was firm even after washing. However, it was not too firm, so don't worry about this brush pricking your skin at all.

The product cleans off very easily in the shower, even without soap. It will make a mess of your bed, so I recommend laying down an extra sheet before play. Otherwise, your restroom is the best place to have fun with this product.

I liked the viscosity of the body paint. Many body paints are too runny, or are too thick no matter what you do. I have even purchased a body paint in the past that was like gelatin. The quality of KamaSutra's body paint base is magnificent. I also liked the brush that came with the set. We still use it with our other body paints because it works so well.

Packaging

The KamaSutra Milk Chocolate Body Paint kit comes in a nice, elegant brown box. It's perfect for gift giving, and is not suggestive. Other than the words "KamaSutra," of course.

The jar is small, and holds 1 full ounce of body paint. It said in the description that this product was good for a couple of uses. By couple, they meant two uses. Three at the most. The jar is tightly sealed on the outside and on the inside for your safety. This way you know your body paint is fresh and not tampered with.

The jar is perfect for travel if it is unopened or kept in an icebox/cooler. This product needs to be refrigerated after the first use because of its ingredients:

Corn Syrup, Palm Kernel Oil, Hydrogenated Palm Oil, Non-Fat dried Milk, Soy Lecithin, Vanillin, Ethyl Alcohol, Water, Cocoa Powder, Food Starch, Gelatin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate.

If you have allergies to any of the above ingredients, or medical conditions that interact with them, do not buy this product.

Personal comments

I would like to say that this product is of high quality for its price. If you want something better, you will have to spend more. There's no doubt about that. But if you want something thoughtful to add to a romantic night at home, and you don't have a lot of cash, this is your best bet. I've tried dozens of body paints, and only one has beat the KamaSutra Milk Chocolate Body Paint - and it was $37. This is a great deal for less money, so give it a shot! Perfect for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, rainy days, etc. It would be a great gift for friends as well.

Experience

My experience with this body paint was really pleasant. I personally wish I didn't have to add flavoring to this paint, as I have with basically every other KamaSutra product. I don't find that to be much of a hassle now that I expect it, but it would be nice to have a more realistic and intense flavor. As far as scent, KamaSutra has it nailed. I could smell it as soon as I opened the jar.

The jar lasted for two sessions of play, but barely lasted through the second session, so I do wish that the jar was bigger. However, if you melt it down more you will get more use out of it.

Painting in chocolate with my partner brought a whole new aspect to our sex lives. It made foreplay very fun, and even gave us a lot of laughs. This product is a great way to bring two people closer together, and makes love-making all the more enjoyable.
Follow-up commentary
I ran out of my first container, but my fiance bought another this week. Still love it, works great for the price. I recommend this as a stocking stuffer, anniversary gift, or a "just because" gift. The taste could still be better, but it's tons of fun and high quality

Yes, it was a lot better afterward. My fiance and I learned to work around things that have too light of a taste. That is one downfall of KamaSutra. Aside from taste, their products are of high quality. Very similar to Shunga, except Shunga does everything better. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks guys. I wish they did too, but I think it's good for the price you pay. You can only get so much for under $30 dollars. But it's a great product if you already have some vanilla flavoring at home. Just put in a few drops and it's perfect

      I think that would be fun. Maybe have different types of packs too. Like themes. That way you'd get flavors that go well together, and you could have a mix and match kind of thing going on.
