Kiss me With Some Mistletoe BabyI can't trully judge this lipgloss do to the fact people have different preferences with lipgloss in general. I found this one to be thick and sticky, it had a light scent and taste that make it great. It leaves the lips feeling full and moisturized. If you get past the stickiness of it the lipgloss overall has many benefits from young to old.
Great for anyone, Kids love it, Works for sensitive skin, Price
Sticky, Thick, Needs to be Reapplied often
The Cake Mistletoe Berry lipgloss is best used to add a bit of glitz to your lips. The sweet smell makes it great for use to give to teens and young girls, but any women who like a thicker sweeter lipgloss will enjoy this. The small packaging makes it great to give as a small gift for anyone without worrying it came from a naughty website. If you plan to be doing a lot of kissing this may not be the gloss for you, it's best for wear when you just want it to look good. It comes of easily so if you don't want to reapply it a lot you may want to try and find a different kind. It seems to work best for young girls, and my niece loves the smell and taste of it, and her gentle lips can handle it so no major allergy concerns come up.
The overall thickness of the Mistletoe berry lipgloss is rather thick, and it also is on the stickier side. it does a lot in terms of moisturizing the lips in the long run. It ends up leaving the lips feeling fuller and much more moisturized then with plain chap stick. It is easy to get out of the tube and is not thin enough to leak out. Once you put it on your lips is stays well unless you are eating, drinking or doing anything other then smiling and talking with your lips. It doesn't leave any color stains on the lips once you take it off. it does feel thick and sticky on the lips but if you are giving it to a small child they love that, but otherwise using an ice cube to to moisten it lightly this will help lessen the stickiness of it. If you like stickier thicker lipgloss you are in luck with this one.
The berry lipgloss has a light scent to it. It is similar to a sugared strawberry scent. It is very childlike in its scent similar to many of the sweetened lipglosses that are sold to appeal to young girls. Those that are older may like it for remembering things they enjoyed as a child playing with makeup. I found it reminded me of playing dress up and I was found of it. The taste of lipgloss is like a sweet waxy taste overall.
The Cake brand lipgloss has it's ups and downs all based on what you prefer in a lipgloss. The overall look and feeling of the lipgloss only lasts for about thirty minuets once you put it on, if you are doing anything where your lips are touched it will come off much sooner. You have to reapply it rather often and it does feel like it helps to add moisture to the lips as it begins to dry. When you do wipe your lips with it on it can smear easily making a mess. The thickness of the gloss makes it hard to just wipe off without a small amount of scrubbing. If you accidentally get it onto your clothes it does stain them with a large oil stain that is hard to get out.
Follow-up commentary 2 months after original review
This lip gloss is great for those who want a light lip gloss with a tint of color. It still remains one of my favorites, the small tube does make it to where it goes quickly if you habitually put on lip gloss. It also does not have any SPF so working outside you would want a different kind. Overall the only complaint I have from time is it goes to fast before I had to buy more.
