Light and fruity, with a hint of floral

Dona's body lotions are a great addition to your other Dona bath and body products. It is a lighter, thin lotion without being water and runny. It moisturizes well and instantly hydrates. It is great for dry, rough skin or just to freshen up!

Use

Dona body lotion is exactly what it says, a lotion. It is a great refreshing body moisturizer for dry, rough, dehydrated skin. This is a lighter formula with a fruity and floral scent. Due to the scents, it is probably more for women, though some scents could be used by men without smelling too "girly". This lotion can be applied anywhere you feel that you need to moisturize.

There doesn't seem to be any allergy concerns as Don's lotion has no petrochemicals, phthalates, sulfates, triclosan, or parabens. Of course you will want to keep scent in mind as some may cause your allergies to flare.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Dona's body lotion is a thinner, lighter type of lotion. I'm a major fan of thick lotions and I hate runny, thin lotions. I like this despite it not being super thick like I go for because it isn't runny and watery like many thin lotion tends to be. It is smooth and silky and you can instantly feel it hydrating your skin when you begin to rub it in. It absorbs well into the skin and lasts a decent period of time. It isn't greasy or sticky. It is easy to get out of the pump dispenser.

Taste / Aroma

I actually bought bath/shower products of all Dona scents and this one is one of my favorites (with Camu Camu being the top) I decided to get a bottle of Acai to go along with the body polish I got so I can help keep the scent strong on my body after getting out of the shower. The scent of the lotion seems to be a bit different than the body polish in the sense that the floral accent stands out just a bit more in the lotion. Now, I'm not a fan of floral scents because I have allergies and many floral scents make me sneeze and give me a headache which is why I opt for body sprays more than perfumes because I can get fruity, candy and baked good scents. I can happily say that Acai did NOT cause any disruption to my allergies. It smells lightly fruity and sweet with a hint of floral. The fragrance lingers for a couple hours and I find it to hang around longer if you apply it before putting your clothes on for the day because it rubs off a bit. After wearing a shirt all day and putting this on, when I went to put it into the dirty clothes basket, I could still faintly smell the lotion.

Performance

As I mentioned, it is a thin lotion but it isn't one of annoying water thing lotions that are greasy and disappear immediately after applying. This stuff absorbs well into the skin and hangs around a good bit. It makes your skin smooth and leaves it feeling very moisturized and refreshed. As I mentioned before, it lasts a decent amount of time. I apply it to my body after my shower and I don't feel the need to put it on again until my next shower except for my feet and hands. My feet tend to get dry easily so I apply lotion to them a few times a day. With my hands, I'm just compulsive with lotion like I am with lip balm and always have to put it on many times a day. I can't stand even a hint of dryness to my hands!
This stuff is great for using after a bath/shower and shaving. Some scented lotions tend to make my legs burn after a shave but this stuff hasn't caused that problem.
You can easily was it off with soap and water.

Packaging

The lotion has the typical Dona lace looking design; classy and chic. You will find company information, ingredients.
Follow-up commentary
I still love this and have since bought the Acai and Blue Lotus lotions along with the body washes and bubble baths, chromotherapy too. I love the Dona Line. Camu Camu is my favorite scent. While I'm a lover of thick lotion, this thinner lotion is just fine, the quality is great.
