Like Washing Your Hair in a Flower Garden

This shampoo will work for "normal" hair types, but won't work for everyone. It has a very pretty floral scent and a cure feminine package. I liked the shampoo well enough, but it won't become my regular go to shampoo.

Use

Terme Tresses Shampoo from Principessa Beauty is a concentrated shampoo which as you can probably guess is used for washing hair. It is definitely targeted at women with its feminine packaging and floral scent, but it would be used on men's hair as well. It will likely work best for people that have more "normal" hair and don't have excessively oily or dry hair. It is best used when followed up by a conditioner to help nourish the hair. It contains many natural ingredients, although it is not all natural. The shampoo, along with the conditioner and other beauty products, would make a great gift.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The shampoo is a thick texture, though not as thick as the conditioner. It is not so thick that it can't pour, but it is thicker than most shampoos. Because of this it does take a bit more care to distribute it through the hair, but since it is concentrated you shouldn't need to use as much. The shampoo is translucent and is a pearly white color it feels soapy and foams up when you massage it into the hair.

Taste / Aroma

The scent is very nice in my opinion. It is isolina scent which is very feminine and floral. It won't be a scent for everyone but I really enjoyed it a lot. To me it smells closest to rose, but according to Principessa it also has notes that include "violet leaves & mimosa (orange flower) blended with middle notes of rose petals & neroli. Heliotrope & precious woods." The scent stayed with my hair until it was dry, but didn't last beyond that though.

Performance

The shampoo performed well and left my hair feeling clean. I had hoped it would be a little more moisturizing or hydrating but I find that most shampoos are a little to drying for my hair. It lathers up fine in my opinion, although other reviewers have stated that they didn't find there to be enough lather. Since I have very dry hair, I felt it cleaned a little too well and removed more oils than I would have preferred. I typically wash my hair every other day or every third day, but after using this I felt I could go even longer before my hair felt dirty again. That is probably because of my particular hair type though, and would not hold true for most people.

Packaging

The shampoo comes in a 12 oz. plastic bottle that is a pretty soft pink with a white label and cap. Just press the cap to open it. The bottle is easy to squeeze and get shampoo out. The directions are on the label, but aren't any different than you would do for any other shampoo.

My only complaint about the packaging is that it looks exactly the same as the bottle of the conditioner. With the print being small on the label it makes it very hard for me to distinguish which is the shampoo and which is the conditioner because I cannot read the labels in the shower because I can't see without my glasses.

Personal comments

I bought this shampoo along with the conditioner because I had absolutely loved the shampoo and conditioner in the Belleza Box and I wanted a full sized bottle. I was pretty shocked when I received the full sized bottles because they aren't the same shampoo. The small samples in the kit were sulfate free which was one of my primary reasons for loving them so much as sulfates can damage the hair when used for a long period of time.

I don't want to hold having sulfates against the shampoo since it is something that 95% of shampoos have, but I was really expecting the shampoo I got in the kit since they had the same name. They do have drastically different ingredients lists however, so keep that in mind if you've tried one and not the other.

Experience

I was a little disapointed when I received this and realized it was not the same formula as the shampoo I had used before. I don't find this to be a bad shampoo, dust a little overly drying for me since my hair is used to more gentle shampoos. I love the smell of it, and my partner comments on how great I smell after I use this shampoo. I will probably not buy this again, but if it had been the sulfate free formula it would have been my hands down favorite shampoo and I would happily buy it again.

I would personally give it 3 1/2 starts. I think it is a bit too drying for me, but it might work well for others though.

I hope this doesn't leave bugs and dirt in my hair like washing in a flower garden would.

Thanks for the review. That's a shame that it was not the same shampoo you were expecting. This is a bit pricey for what you get.

Thanks for the review. Odd that this isn't the same thing as the one in the kit, it seemed to be the same.
