Lip lovely set - lip balm by Bella Il Fiore - review by Tuesday

The Bella Il Fiore Lip Lovely set would be a terrific gift for any woman. It is a two product set consisting of a scrub and a lip balm.



The Sugar Kisses Lip Scrub will smooth your lips, making them feel great and allowing the even, flawless application of lipstick. The scrub is a nice treat even for those who don't wear lipstick.

Rescue Me Lip Treatment smells nice and feels wonderful on your lips too. It will not feel too heavy like some lip balms can.

Lip Treatment
Rescue Me lip treatment is quite firm, with a consistency similar to cold butter. You will not dent the surface of this firm lip balm as you use it unless you press down quite firmly.

Once on your lips, it feels wonderful. While it is thick in the tub, it doesn't feel thick once it's on your lips.



Lip Scrub
Sugar Kisses lip scrub has a softer consistency that is similar to petroleum jelly or a thick pudding. Once it is on your lips, you will feel that it has tiny granules in it. It feels like there are sugar or sand particles. The gel portion of the scrub is waxy or oily. After you wash it off, your lips will be slightly shiny and will feel like they are lightly coated with gloss.

Both the lip balm and the scrub smell and taste of peppermint. The scent is not overwhelming though. Rather, it is subtle. Even those who are not fans of peppermint candy will likely be pleased with the delicate scent of these products.

The peppermint taste is equally subtle. While you can taste peppermint with both products, it is a light and delicate taste.

After the first few uses, you won't particularly notice the scent unless you purposely inhale with your nose near the open container. You are equally unlikely to notice the taste of either product after the first few uses.

Lip Scrub:
Only a small amount of Peppermint Lip Scrub is needed. Touch your finger on the top of the contents and you may have more than is needed. Rub it onto your lips gently and you will feel the tiny granules in the scrub. The granules won't cause discomfort.

After a few minutes of rubbing the scrub on your lips, wash it off with water. Your lips will feel completely smooth. All dead skin and rough areas where chapping has occurred will be completely smooth. Rubbing your lips together or running your fingers over your lips will feel luxurious.

After washing the scrub off, there will still be a film of the smoother part of the scrub on your lips. It will feel like a light amount of lip balm is on your lips. For this reason, this scrub is not suitable for use on your face.

Lipstick applied after this treatment will look flawlessly even.

Lip Treatment:
Rub your finger in circles on the surface of the lip treatment to gather a small amount on one finger, then apply it to your lips. Your lips will feel coated and protected. It will not feel wax-like or too heavy no matter how much is applied.

It will last for hours, unless you eat.

After using either the scrub or the lip treatment, your lips will feel slightly cooler and tingly.

The Lip Lovely set comes in an attractive pink and black box that closes with interlocking flaps that form what almost looks like a flower on the top. The closed box resembles a wrapped present.

Inside are the two products, each in their own plastic container. There are no instructions for use, but none are needed.

This set contains Safflower Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Cocoa Seed Butter, Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil and Vitamin E - all natural ingredients that you can feel good about.

The Rescue Me lip treatment is off white while the Sugar Kisses lip scrub is less opaque than the lip treatment but is still without color.

Both products come in generously sized one ounce jars.
