Lovely, Lickable Chocolate

Shunga's Chocolate Body Paint is classy, fun to use, tasty, and easy to clean up. It does not feel sticky either. Both my partner and I loved drawing designs on eachother and then licking it off.

Use

Shunga has a wonderful line of sensual body products. I have a ton of them and this Chocolate Body Paint is one of their best in my opinion. For the price (and even more), it is an amazing value. It makes a great gift for you and your partner or another sensual couple. The chocolate body paint is fun to use, tasty to lick up, and sexy to wear. It is safe for the body and has natural ingredients too! The amount given is generous and is done so in a gorgeous, high quality presentation!

Ingredients: Sugar (sucrose), Water, Cacao powder (cocoa), Sodium citrate, Salt (sodium chloride), carmel color, Potassium sorbate, N & A flavor, Vanillin, Citric acid, and Yellow #5.
NOTE: These ingredients are from the packaging not eden's product page which was missing some of them.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The chocolate body paint has a consistency of a slightly watered down Hershey's syrup. It can pour out of the container but it does so very slowly. It could also be compared to a BBQ sauce, thick but still able to be easily spread and poured if needed. It can look a tab translucent if it is not used in a larger quantity. It stays in place when used properly and surprisingly does not feel sticky or grainy.

Taste / Aroma

My partner and I feel this tastes a lot like Hershey's chocolate syrup, which means that is taste, uh, WONDERFUL! My partner feels that it smells like Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate powder. So yea, it smells and tastes great, just like many chocolate products you have probably already consumed. It tastes so good that you could totally put it on ice cream or some other dessert. It is absolutely divine.

Performance

The Shunga Chocolate Body Paint is somewhat of a kit since it comes with a simple way to use the paint. The device that is provided to do this is quite inadequate for long time use. It is a comprised of a very slim, short wood stick (possibly bamboo?). At the end of this stick, a very small foam piece is attached by a cord. It works well for a first time use, but it is very hard to keep clean for future use.

It does however, make it possible to draw or write things easily on your partner's skin. We were both able to draw small or large hearts, words (even in cursive), and other designs with the utensil that is provided. Never waiting more than a few minutes, the paint was still easy to lick off and remained delicious.

We had a lo of fun making designs on eachother and then licking it off. A great way to use this is to use it in combination with a truth or dare game. Any verbal answer you give has to be written on the persons skin. This was a lot of fun! You barely need any of the product to provide a few inches of chocolate landscape. The excess cleans up easily and never irritated either of us.

Packaging

The presentation and packaging is gorgeous and classy. The jar is glass in a vintage style shape. It has a screw off top that reveals a hole in the jar where the stick can be stuck into. There is a small plastic sheet that hooks onto the jar. The stick can slide into this so you don't lose it. The front has non-sexual language and a non graphic animated image of a couple in an embrace. The back has the ingredients in two languages. It really is pretty and the glass has a lot of weight, making it feel of really high quality-which it is! It is fine for travel and isn't specifically nondiscreet.
    • Does not leak
    • Travel friendly
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

I am not a fan of the tool that is included. It can be hard to clean. But, you can go to you local hobby store and purchase slim paint brushes. Those are fine as replacements.

While not on eden, I do have the vanilla and strawberry flavors too. They are all wonderful!
Follow-up commentary
We still love this chocolate paint. I have tried a few products like this and this one comes in second. I am not too thrilled with the applicator still, but you can easily go to a craft store and get a small paint brush to fit through the hole in the top. I also wish ti was easier to get out the chocolate without the brush. We still have a ton left after using it half a dozen times.
