Hair conditioner discontinued
by Principessa Beauty

Luxurious Indeed

This conditioner is a wonderful choice if you like the signature powdery floral scent from Principessa. It even works very well as a conditioner to provide moisture to your hair without weighing it down at all. While it's probably not the best choice for deep conditioning for extremely dry or damaged hair, it will still provide a nice moisturizing for most people.

extremely useful review
So what is it, and why are you telling me about it?

This is Principessa's conditioner, and I'm telling you about it because I want to give more detail than I could in reviewing just the smaller kit that I got this in. As a conditioner, I find it works just wonderfully and I have no real complaints about it at all.

Ok then. What does the bottle look like?

The bottle you'll get will be a full 12 fluid ounces of shampoo in a light pink bottle with a matte white label. It'll have a click cap, the front will have the name of the company and the line and that it's shampoo, and the back will have a list of ingredients.

Ok, so what are the ingredients on this one?

It's important to note that the ingredients on the full size are currently different from that on the mini bottles, but that the mini bottle contains the new formula that Principessa is switching to. The new formula is a sulfate free version and has a color protector in it as well, according to a rep for the company. The ingredients listed below are for the new formula.

Water, cetearyl alcohol, stearalkonium chloride, quaternium-91, glycerin, ppg-3 benzyl ether myristate, cetrimonium methosulfate, cetyl alcohol, helianthus annus (sunflower) seed oil*, linum usiitatissimum (linseed) seed extract*, punica granatum (pomegranate) extract*, olea europaea (olive) fruit extract*, laminaria digitata extract*, morinda citrifolia extract*, camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed extract, avena sativa (oat) meal extract, persea fratissima (avocado) oil, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, gardenia tahitensis (tiare) flower, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, panthenol (vitamin b5), tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e), hydrolyzed wheat protein, hydrolyzed wheat starch, hydrolyzed soy protein, silk amino acids, hydroxypropyl guar, polysilicone-18 cetyl phosphate, myristyl myristate, methyl gluceth-20, disodium edta, phenoxyethanol, Methylchlroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, butylene glycol, citric acid, fragrance.

The * denotes an organic ingredient.

How well does it come out of the bottle, and how well does it work?

It comes out of the bottle very nicely, has a lovely milky white color, and spreads around just as nicely. It's a lot thicker than some conditioners. I found I didn't need any more than I would normally use with my regular conditioner which was nice. After letting it sit in my hair for a few minutes, it rinsed out cleanly and left my hair feeling moisturized and not weighed down at all. My hair type is thin and fine and generally considered normal. It doesn't get really oily, but I normally wash it every other day or so.

Awesome! What exactly does it smell like, and how long does the scent last?

This is scented with Pricipessa's Isolina scent. Isolina is described as a blend of fragrances that are fresh, floral, and feminine but also have a powdery finish, and it does live up to that. The top notes are listed as violet leaves and mimosa with neroli as the middle scent and precious woods and heliotrope as its base. To me, it smells powdery and floral, but more powdery overall. The scent lasts a reasonable amount of time, and I find that my hair smells lightly of it until bedtime usually when I shower in the afternoon.

Anything else I should know about it?

If your hair normally needs deep conditioning due to damage from whatever, this may not cut it on that front, but for most other types of hair you should be just fine.

Conditioner can also be used as a shaving cream in a pinch if you need something besides water to get the job done, and don't have anything else.

Sweet. Got any pictures?

Sure do! Here's a closeup of the conditioner, along with a shot of it staying in place with my hand pretty much upside down.

Experience
I really like this as a conditioner. I never need any more than I do with my regular, and it always leaves my hair feeling rich and moisturized and never weighed down. I really can't think of anything bad about it at all. I love the way it smells, and the way it works, and while it is a bit pricier than most bargain conditioners I do think it's worth the money. I can see where some won't like it, but for me it's fantastic.

    Thanks for the review!

In my experience there are far more hair-care products out there for dry hair than anything else, so from my perspective it's good to see a nice quality light conditioner. Seems worth a try, even if it does smell like a baby's butt...

Haha, fortunately I like that smell, but I can see it being a bit overwhelming for other people.
