Dona body polish - scrub discontinued by System JO - review by PeaceToTheMiddleEast

The Dona body polish/scrub is made by System Jo. It is a gentle scrub to reveal sensitive skin. This is not rough like some other scrubs can tend to be. I have had some in the past that were way too much work to use. Scrubs are used to take away dead dry skin revealing your new soft skin underneath. Even though it says body polish/scrub like it says, it seems to be lighter than a scrub will be.

Remember to always do a spot test to make sure you are not allergic to the product.

Ingredients:
Sodium Chloride, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oil, Glycine Soja Wax, Isopropyl Myristate, Modified Corn Starch, Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate, Cetyl Palmitate, Sorbitan Palmitate, Sorbitan Olivate, Cetearyl Olivate, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed, Laminaria Digitata (Algae), Passiflora Edulis (Passion Fruit ), Oriza Sativa, (Rice), , Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu), Euterpe Oleracea (Açaí) oils, Luffa Cylindrica, Garcinia Mangostana (Mangosteen) Fruit , Fragrance.

This scrub feels and looks like a bowl of grits would. You can see the little small grains in it. It is yellowish in color. Which brings me to the point of it sitting for a long time it did tend to turn a darker yellow tint then it was when I first got it. I don't know if that is because where I store it at or what. It does keep its smell though and it is still in a soft form without any clumps in it. You use this polish on a loofah or sponge. I found it best to use with a loofah you can really get a nice scrub out of it with that. It does tend to be a little greasy and leaves your tub slippery when you are done. It also feels greasy on the skin but once rinsed off the feeling goes away.

I chose to get the Goji Berry scent, hoping it would smell like berries and I was right it did. I like either berry smelling scents or floral scents and this was right up my alley. I really don't know what a Goji berry smells like or tastes like but I enjoy the smell of this. I do know that lately I have been seeing candies and other stuff marketing the Goji berry which is a berry that is not found in the USA but in countries such as China, Mongolia and in the Himalayas in Tibet. Goji berries are usually found dried. They are shriveled red berries that look like red raisins. Thanks to the internet I looked that up. I do know one thing I am glad they are bringing them over this way because the scent of these berries are awesome. This was a little on the stronger side of the Goji berry smell but still pleasant.

Just to let you know I have used this in my other Dona Goji Berry scent reviews because everything I got in that scent all smells the same. So if you are seeing it over and over again there is no other way to explain the scent but the way I have from my first review of this scent in this line.

I did not taste this product, and I don't suggest you do. As delicious as this smells, this is an external-only use product that should not be consumed.

I enjoy using this body polish and how it leaves my skin feeling nice and soft. Adding the body butter is an added bonus because you can really feel how soft your skin is. The body polish only lasts as long as you are in the shower, you can smell it when finished but it fades after about 5 minutes. It will leave the tub slippery so make sure to be careful when getting out but it easily washes off the tub when you clean it. Again this works out well to do your feet along with the other things I have mentioned. The only issue I had is the color turning dark like it did. I did enjoy that pretty light yellow.
