Winter wonder lip gloss trio by Cake Beauty - review by Eva Schwaltz

The Winter wonder lip gloss trio from Cake Beauty is a collection of three vanilla scented lip glosses.

First up is Vanilla Frost (light pink tube), which is described as creamy pearl with opalescent shine.

Second is Pink Icicle (pink tube), which is sheer pink with diamond sparkle.

Last is Gold glimmer (golden tube), which is glistening nude with golden sheen.

Each are very similar. They only provide a tinge of color, but seem to only enhance the color of the lips. I didn’t notice any sparkle, but you probably need bright lights to be able to see it. Each tube is plastic with a metal twist off cap containing a brush for applying the gloss.

The ingredients are: Polybutene, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Octyldodecanol, Canola Oil, Ozokerite Wax, Aroma, Ethylene/propylene/styrene Copolymer, Silica, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Punica Granatum Sterols, C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Benzophenone 3, Sorbic Acid, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil. These glosses are fairly thick so they take a while to absorb. The gloss is slightly sticky. If I tap my finger on my lips, I notice the stickiness, but my lips don’t stick together. Hair will stick to it, so it is probably a good idea to keep your hair up.

One swipe of the brush over the lips provides enough lip gloss for one go, and it glides on very easily. It is completely smooth and makes the lips feel soft. The gloss is thicker than others I have used, and lasts for a really long time.

All of the glosses smell like vanilla. It reminds me of vanilla ice cream. The smell is not very strong and dissipates quite quickly. Someone standing very close to you might notice it, but not everyone in the room. When I licked my lips, the gloss doesn’t have much of a flavor, but it has a chalky aftertaste. It’s not a very strong taste though.

This gloss really lasts. It stays on for an hour before completely absorbing. It will dissolve a lot faster if you eat, drink, or lick your lips a lot. I love the scent, and I love how shiny it makes my lips look. They don’t irritate my lips, but instead they make my lips soft and moisturized. These would work for all skin tones.

The tubes come nicely packaged in a box with a cutout front so you can see the glosses. All the information and ingredients are on the box, basically stating that it is paraben free and not tested on animals. Each tube holds 11 ml of gloss, so they will definitely last all season, or longer. This would be a really nice gift for someone, and there’s nothing on it that says you got it from a sex store.
