Contour I + Beyond euphoric sensory set - sensual kit discontinued by Jimmyjane - review by Naughty Student

The Contour I and Beyond set is made for massages. I imagine the I could be used for vaginal insertion since it is made with hygienic biocompatible non-porous porcelain. Jimmyjane do not market this as an insertion toy, they advise that the toy is versatile but to use common sense. So I wouldn't recommend it being used this way.

This is the ideal type of product for those who have sensitive hands, weak hands, or have arthritis or other issues that may make massaging a challenge. This is a product that can work for everyone.

The best time to use this is for a sensual massage or a massage therapy session with your partner. The best place to use it would be on a bed or flat surface. Preferably having the massaged individual laying down. This could be used in the shower but I would worry it would fall and get chipped.

The beyond euphoric is basically like any sort of hydrating cream, however it is sold as a massage lotion.

It feels like a cream. It is thick, and spreads like a cream would. It feels smooth, not grainy. It is very easy to dispense the lotion. Just pop the lid and press the amount desired into your hand.

It goes into the skin very nicely. It does get absorbed rather quickly though. We need a really good amount to start with, or else we reapply. We have used a lot of the cream up already in the few uses we have got with this set.

Once it is absorbed into the skin it sort of leaves a residue of silky softness. It isn't oil or greasy, just soft. You can feel that there is something on the skin but it is't unpleasant like a greasy or oily cream would be. What I love about the lotion is that even if I use a lot, I don't need to have a towel handy the way I do when I use massage oil.

This might be funny to say but the cream to me smells like a day at the beach with a Corona with a slice of lime in it. It's a mixed smell of sun tan lotion with a strong scent of lime.

It also reminds me of the wet towels that you can find at restaurants.

So, I hate the smell. It just smells really weird to me. I was expecting a sweet sultry Indian spicy type of smell but I get some wet nap smell instead. Which is fine, I guess. I don't find the smell irritating, or overwhelmingly powerful. I just don't think it smells sexy or sensual. I mean, if you're going to be doing a massage with the cream you don't want your partner to ask if you are using SPF 30 sun cream by mistake.

It is not meant to be ingested and I have not tasted it.

Beyond Euphoric
The lotion works beautifully. It works well for short massages that don't require reapplication. In use the lotion will last about 5-10 minutes depending on how much I put before I need to apply more cream. It's really convenient and since I tend to do short massages, it has been working out great for us.

For a long massage of 30-45 minutes I need to reapply about 3 times. Which isn't so great. However, the bottle makes dispensing the lotion really easy. The lotion stays put and I'm not afraid of leaving the bottle on the bed because I know it won't leak. These are advantages it has going for it compared to a bottle of oil.

If you wish to wash it off, it comes off easily with soap but the smell seems to linger a bit on your hands even if you use soap.

Contour I
The massage stone can be used in a few different ways on it's own and it can also be used with the Contour M. It can be rolled along it's length on the muscle or you can use the ends to have more pin point massage. One of Jimmyjane's recommendations for using the contour I is to hold one of the balls in the palm of your hand, with the stem pointing up through the space between your thumb and pointer finger as you massage with that ball. It is very awkward to use it in this way.

While using this on my partner we have come up with our own way of using it that seems to work better for us. We mainly use it to massage either side of his spine by having the stem directly above his spine with the balls massaging on either side. I have a ball under each palm and I simply put pressure on the balls as I roll the contour I up and down the spine. I have better control of it this way. Also, this way I can also glide my fingers on him.

Rolling it by holding the stem (which is something they suggest) limits how much I can roll, which means I can't go up and down the full length of his back. So our technique works better for us because I can go all the way from his butt to his neck.

It does get slippery and I have a hard time holding on to it compared to the contour M. It washes off very easily. You simply need mild dish soap and rince!

The packaging is very simple and elegant. Both products come in a cardboard box with instructions for both the lotion and massager. The massager is separated from the clotion by it's own piece of cardboard within the box.

I store my massger and lotion in the box they came in. I have many toy pouches so I could store the contour I in a pouch, which would be more convenient to me compared to keeping it in it's box.

The packaging is discreet, in the sense that there are no nude people or any images with a sexual nature to them. You simply have a picture of the product itself. It looks classy, and it would make a very nice gift. It could be purchased for a romantic weekend getaway; it would make a wonderful surprise for a romantic evening.

The massage lotion has an expiry date and should be used within 6 months of having opened it.

My boyfriend has issues with back pain because he works in construction. So by night time he is in a bit of pain and needs a little massage. My affection is his medication (wink).

Since we have started using the contour I his back has been getting better. We also have the contour M but the contour I seems to work deeper within the muscle and really works at undoing those knots.

My guy enjoys the M but when I used the "I" on him for the first time, I got a clear "I like this one" from him which is equivalent to "this is freakin' AWESOME!".

He hasn't said much about the cream, neither about how it felt on him or how it smelled. As long as he doesn't mind the smell, it's all good. It works well for our short massages but I think I like oil better because it lasts longer.
