Mangosteen Essence

I really liked this bath oil from Dona. It smells good and washes off easily. The one I have is the mangosteen, and it totally fits the name without being overpowering. I think it is worth the $10 price for something that smells so good.

Use

This product is an oil made for baths. It is lightly fragranced and is primarily made from plant extracts. It claims to help keep skin supple and may awaken sexual vitality. I don't know about all that. I do know it left my skin feeling clean and smelling nice. I love a hot bath after a long day, and the scent of this product was surprisingly pleasant. I am really liking this new line of product from System Jo.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This bath oil doesn't create a lot of bubbles. I don't really like bubbles in the bath, so this was perfect for me. I followed the directions and poured about two capfuls into the tub as it filled up. The water was slightly yellow from the oil. I only filled the tub about 1/3 of the way and then I soaked my troubles away. The oil is pretty thick and not watery, which aids in pouring as you really have to try to pour too much. The 6 oz. bottle will give you about 9-10 bath uses if you follow the prescribed amount. I didn't really notice any difference in the water consistency or how my skin felt after soaking.

Taste / Aroma

The oil has a yellow-brown color that reminds me of the color of mango juice. It smells delicious and was not over powering. This product smells like mango juice without a hint of chemical stench. I loved the scent and I would be willing to try something else from this company. The scent is supposed to be infused with aphrodisiacs. I cannot complain one bit, but I can't say the scent made me or my lover feel any different either.

Performance

This bath oil didn't leave any trace on my skin. I really didn't notice any extra suppleness but I have only used it a few times. My skin felt more moisturized but it may be from soaking, I am not sure. This product is made almost entirely of plant extracts.

The ingredients for this product are: Glycerin, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Seed Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Paullina Cupana Seed Extract , Ptychopetalum Olacoides Root Extract , Turnera Diffusa Leaf Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Pausinystalia Yohimbe Bark Extract, PPG-26 Buteth-26, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Garcinia Mangostana (Mangosteen) Fruit, Fragrance.

Nice review and I am glad you liked it! I have this in the Pomegranate but have not quite used it yet! It smells and looks very interesting. Good to know it's not going to leave an oily residue on my skin.
