Contour M - massager by Jimmyjane - review by Maiden

My partner has a lot of pain in his back and neck. I've always had trouble giving him back massages due to the lack of strength in my hands. It's especially difficult to give him the pressure he needs to relieve some of the pain and tension in his lower back. I generally have to straddle him and use all of my body weight, which is a considerable 250 pounds! Needless to say, this can be exhausting for me, especially after chasing around my toddler all day.

Trying to think of an easier way to help my man, I recalled getting a professional message where the masseuse used stones to work the particularly tight muscles in my back and legs. Looking online for massage stones, I was shocked to see how expensive they were. There was no way we could afford them!
Then, months later, I read a review on Eden Fantasys for the Contour M, and was intrigued. While it wasn't made of stone, but double fired porcelain, the review made it sound wonderful. Could this small inexpensive "stone" really do the job? Seeing that it was less than half the price of even the cheapest stones I had found online, I decided to give it a try.

I am happy to say that this product is exactly what I needed. It is made of smooth but solid porcelain. It fits perfectly in my hands and works well with hardly any pressure applied to it. One has four knobs for deeper stimulation, and can be used to pin point certain areas just by using one or two of the knobs to apply pressure. The other side is one smooth curved surface, much like a dome. This side is my partner's favorite, especially for his lower back. I no longer have to straddle him to apply the pressure he needs. Another good thing about the stone is that it holds temperature well. Just run hot or cold water over it for a few minutes and it will retain the temperature. I am fond of the cold stone, but my man likes it hot, to help relax his muscles.

This massager works best with massage oil to help it glide smoothly across the skin. You can use baby oil or lotion, but may have to reapply it more often. Make sure it is non staining, so you don't leave oily stains on your bedding. Cleaning up the stone is a breeze. Just soap and water. If you feel it needs to be sanitized, you could always use a diluted bleach solution. Take care not to drop the stone as it can break or be cracked or chipped. Also take care when storing it or packing it for travel, to avoid damage. I store mine in the box it came in. It is also small enough to pack for travel.

Also, it is important to communicate with your partner so as not to press too hard. It's very easy to apply too much pressure with out realizing it, especially when using the side with the knobs. I was so used to applying as much pressure as I could to work my man's muscles, that I went about massaging him with this in the same manner. Instead of relieving pain, I was causing it!
